Use of PTO Balances. Negative balances may not be incurred. Employees must use accrued PTO hours for vacations and holidays with the advance approval of their supervisor. Department needs and work requirements shall be taken into consideration. Preference will be given to employees’ requested time off whenever possible. PTO may be scheduled in increments of at least one (1) hour; however, employees are encouraged to take PTO in increments of at least one (1) week.

Beginning the first full pay period following January 1, 2020, PTO may also be used to supplement any short- term disability benefit or paid parental leave up to one-hundred percent (100%) of regular pay, following a seven (7) calendar waiting period during which PTO or EIB (if available) may be used for any regularly scheduled shift falling within that seven (7) calendar day period.

Accruals will stop when the maximum limit is reached. The caregiver’s accrual will resume when time off has been taken and the balance falls below the maximum. Accrued PTO Safe Sick will only be cashed out upon termination, upon a status change to less than .5 FTE, and annually for any accrued PTO Safe Sick hours that exceed 108 hours that can carryover at the end of the calendar year.

Carry over 50% of their PTO plan year accrual into the next year, b. Cash out any unused PTO c. Transfer any unused PTO hours to EIB. 10.4.2 Following six (6) months of employment, upon voluntary termination, retirement, or transfer to per diem or on call status, 100% of all eligible accrued PTO hours will be paid out. Employees who fail to give proper notice of termination or whose employment is termed for reasons of (or normally defined as) criminal misconduct will forfeit PTO pay.

  • Use of PTO A nurse will be required to take his or her accrued PTO during the leave, except where required by law. a. Notwithstanding the foregoing, for absences greater than thirty (30) days, a nurse will be allowed to leave up to eighty (80) accrued hours remaining in his/her PTO bank. Such a nurse shall designate to the Medical Center, prior to the announcement of such absence, the date by which compensation for PTO is to be discontinued. b. The number of hours of PTO used per week during the leave may not be less than the number of hours that the nurse was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Use of Past Record In imposing any discipline on a current charge, Management will not take into account any prior infractions which occurred more than one (1) year previously nor impose discipline on an employee for falsification of the employee's employment application after a period of one (1) year from the employee's date of hire.

  • Use of Paid Leave ‌ With the approval of the Appointing Authority, employees will be allowed to utilize accrued sick leave, personal holiday or vacation leave when on authorized leave without pay due to illness or injury.

  • Use of Vehicles Use or authorize the Vehicles to be used in any manner (i) that would make such Vehicles that are Program Vehicles ineligible for repurchase or sale under the applicable Eligible Vehicle Disposition Program, (ii) for any illegal purposes or (iii) that could subject the Vehicles to confiscation.

  • Use of Premises Tenant shall not use the premises or any part thereof, or permit the premises or any part thereof to be used, for any purpose other than the use hereinabove specifically mentioned, subject, however, to all the covenants, agreements, terms, provisions and conditions of this Lease. Those portions, if any, of the premises which on the plan(s) attached hereto are shown as toilets and utility areas shall be used by Tenant only for the purposes for which they are designed. Tenant shall not install any electrical or other equipment of any kind which, in the judgment of Landlord, might cause any such impairment, interference, discomfort, inconvenience or annoyance. Except as set forth in Article 1 hereof, Tenant will not, and will not permit anyone to, sell or traffic in any spirituous liquors, wine, ale or beer in or from the premises or carry on any manufacturing in the premises. If any governmental license or permit shall be required for the proper and lawful conduct of Tenant's business or other activity carried on it the premises, Tenant, at Tenant's expense, shall duly procure and thereafter maintain such license or permit and submit the same to inspection by Landlord. Tenant, at Tenant's expense, shall, at all times, comply with the terms and conditions of each license or permit.

  • Use of Personal Vehicles When employees are authorized to use their personal vehicles to transport clients or residents in the care of the State, the State agrees to provide, subject to the rules and regulations of the Comptroller, a supplemental mileage allowance rate of seven cents ($.07) per mile for the use of such personal vehicle.

  • Use of Pronouns All pronouns and any variations thereof used herein shall be deemed to refer to the masculine, feminine, neuter, singular or plural as the identity of the person or persons referred to may require.
