Use of Vacations. Vacation days are normally taken during the year in which they accrue. If a unit member is not permitted to take his full annual vacation, the amount not taken shall accumulate for use in the next year or be paid in cash at the option of the District. • Upon request, the District may allow unit members to use vacation days at time not scheduled by the District. • Earned vacation shall not become a vested right until completion of six months of employment. • The unit member may be granted vacation during the school year even though not earned at the time the vacation is taken. • If a unit member is terminated and had been granted vacation which was not yet earned at the time of termination of his service, the District shall deduct from the unit member’s severance check the full amount of salary which was paid for such unearned days of vacation taken. • Upon separation from service, the unit member shall be entitled to lump-sum compensation for all earned and unused vacation, as determined and limited below, except those unit members who have not completed the six months of employment shall not be entitled to such compensation.   • Use of Vacation 23.2.2.1 Academic staff members may use vacation at times approved by the Xxxx which shall not interfere with the operation of the College. Such leave may be taken for part of a single day.

  • HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS If work is performed on Buyer's premises, Buyer shall not be obligated to make any payments to Seller for days designated by Buyer as holidays or shutdown periods, except for work specifically authorized in writing by Xxxxx's Authorized Procurement Representative and performed by Seller on such days.
