Vacation Preferences. (a) Preference in the selection and allocation of vacation time shall be determined on the basis of seniority.
(b) Regular vacations shall have priority over vacation time carried over under the provisions of Article 17.3.

(b) An employee shall be entitled to receive her vacation in an unbroken period. Employees wishing to split their vacation shall exercise seniority rights in the choice of their first vacation period. Seniority shall prevail in the second vacation period, but only after all other "first" vacation periods have been posted. Seniority shall also prevail in further choices in the same manner.

The periods at which employees shall take vacation shall be based on the selection by the employee according to seniority in each department, provided that the Department Supervisor is able to retain an adequate and competent staff to meet the normal requirements of the department.
Vacation Preferences. Vacations will be bid in conjunction with bids. Vacation preferences will be honored by section/unit seniority of the employees within a classification and work area.

Vacation Preferences. The Employer and Union acknowledge that there is to be no preference when reviewing annual leave requests under the Collective Bargaining Agreement related to out-of-country trips over in-country vacations.

Vacation entitlement shall be granted for the times requested by the employee unless operational requirements dictate the number of employees required to be working and/or the request conflicts with the times chosen by a more senior employee in the same work area, then seniority shall prevail.
b. Seniority shall be the determining factor up to March 1st of each calendar year, in establishing vacation dates. Confirmation of vacation dates shall be made by the Employer to the employee within ten (10) working days from the date of application. After March 1st, vacation dates shall be established on a first-come, first-serve basis.
c. Once vacation dates are established there shall be no changes thereto unless by mutual agreement by the Employer and the employee concerned.
d. An employee shall be granted an unbroken period of vacation unless mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer, subject to operational requirements. Employees may elect to take vacation during separate periods, rather than one (1) unbroken period. Notwithstanding the above, employees shall be granted vacation in increments of a minimum of one (1) hour at a time.
Vacation Preferences. (1) Preference in the selection and allocation of vacation time shall be determined within each child care centre and within each classification on the basis of seniority. The number of employees who may take vacation at the same time will be based on operational requirements. Where an employee chooses to split their vacation, their second choice of vacation time shall be made only after all other employees concerned have made their first selection.
(2) The parties recognize that an annual vacation is important to the health and well-being of employees. Consequently, all vacation days must be scheduled and taken by December 31st, except in special circumstances with the agreement of the Employer and the Union.
