WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. An employee appointed by the Commissioner (or elected by eligible peers in the case of a Health and Safety Representative) to undertake any of the following roles: First Aid Officer; Emergency Warden; Health and Safety Representative; Mental Health First Aid Officer; and/or Harassment Contact Officer will, subject to having undertaken the relevant training and/or possessing the required certification(s), be paid a workplace responsibility allowance at the following rate: Rate from commencement of the Agreement Rate from 13 March 2025 Rate from 12 March 2026 $30.51 per fortnight $31.67 per fortnight $32.75 per fortnight The full rate of the allowance is payable regardless of flexible work and part-time arrangements. An employee undertaking more than one workplace responsibility role simultaneously will only receive a single allowance payment in respect of all roles undertaken, unless otherwise approved by the Commissioner due to operational requirements. An employee’s physical availability to undertake the role will be considered by the Commissioner when appointing and reappointing an employee to a workplace responsibility role. Not all workplace responsibility roles will necessarily require a physical presence in the workplace for the role to be successfully undertaken consistent with Commission policies. A casual employee who is eligible to receive a workplace responsibility allowance will be paid the full rate of the allowance for a fortnight provided they engage in work during the pay cycle for that fortnight, irrespective of the frequency and duration of the work undertaken. A community language allowance will be paid where the Commissioner determines that an employee is regularly required to use their ability to communicate in Braille or a language other than English (including First Nations languages and AUSLAN) in the course of their work, and the employee meets the required level of competency set by the Commissioner. WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. 24.1 First aid officers will be paid a workplace responsibility allowance (WRA) at the rate of $15.73 per week.
24.2 Fire wardens will be paid a WRA at the rate of $10.67 per week.
24.3 Workplace Harassment Contact officers will be paid a WRA at the rate of $10.67 per week.
24.4 Health and Safety representatives will be paid a WRA at the rate of $10.67 per week.
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. Ongoing Employees who are appointed or elected to a workplace responsibility role are entitled to a Workplace Responsibility Allowance. The following Workplace Responsibility Allowance will apply: $27 each fortnight on commencement of the Agreement $27.50 each fortnight 12 months after the commencement of the Agreement, and $28 each fortnight 24 months after the commencement of the Agreement. 104. A workplace responsibility role is a First Aid Officer, Harassment Contact Officer, Fire Warden or Health and Safety Representative. 105. WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. An ongoing employee is entitled to a Workplace Responsibility Allowance of $26 per fortnight where they are appointed to a workplace responsibility role. For further information regarding this Allowance, refer to the Workplace Responsibility Allowance Policy. A workplace responsibility role includes a First Aid Officer, Harassment Contact Officer, Fire Warden or Health and Safety Representative. Community and Indigenous Australian Languages Allowance An employee is eligible for an annual allowance of $1,700 per annum where the employee is accredited to a fluent level in a recognised Community or Indigenous Australian language by an appropriate individual or body, and where the employee is required to utilise a particular Community or Indigenous Australian language in the delivery of the Agency’s programs.
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. An ongoing employee is entitled to a Workplace Responsibility Allowance of $26 per fortnight where they are appointed to a workplace responsibility role. For further information regarding this Allowance, refer to the Workplace Responsibility Allowance Policy.
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. (a) An allowance of $26 per fortnight is payable to an Employee who accepts one or more of the following roles:
(i) First Aid Officer (ii) Health and Safety Representative
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. This clause has been inserted and provides an employee will be paid a workplace responsibility allowance if they are appointed by Airservices to the roles set out in subclauses (a) – (c). This clause introduces new positions of Fire Warden (including the Chief Fire Warden), Harassment Contact Officer and Mental Health First Aid Officer into the proposed agreement as positions which attract a workplace responsibility allowance.
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. A workplace responsibility allowance will be paid where an Employee is appointed by Finance or elected to one of the following roles:
WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE. 36.1 A workplace responsibility allowance will be paid where an employee who is appointed by ASIC or elected by eligible peers to one of the following roles:
(a) First Aid Officer
(b) Health and Safety Representative
(c) Emergency Warden or
(d) Harassment Contact Officer.
36.2 An employee is not to receive more than one workplace responsibility allowance unless approved by the CEO due to operational requirements.
36.3 The minimum rate will be: $30.51 per fortnight $31.67 per fortnight $32.75 per fortnight
36.4 As a salary-related allowance, this value will continue to be increased in line with headline wage increases. These increases are incorporated in the minimum rates in the table above.
36.5 The full allowance is payable regardless of flexible work and part-time arrangements.
36.6 An employee’s physical availability to undertake the role will be considered by agencies when appointing and reappointing employees to these roles. This is noting that not all workplace responsibility roles will necessarily require a physical presence in the workplace for the role to be successfully undertaken, such as Harassment Contact Officers and Health and Safety Representatives depending on work group arrangements.
36.7 Casual employees who are eligible to receive a workplace responsibility allowance will be paid the full amount (noting the minimum rate), as varied from time to time provided they engage in work during any given pay cycle, irrespective of the frequency and duration of the work undertaken.
