Written Directives. Any written directive or notice dealing with employee responsibilities shall be placed in each member's mail box and posted in a secure binder in an area available to members of the bargaining unit. All members of the bargaining unit will have constructive knowledge of the content of the notice and will be required to carry out the directives contained in the notice in the binder.

Written Directives. Section 13.1 When new rules, directives, policies, and procedures are established, or when existing rules, directives, policies, and procedures are changed, such new rules and changes will be incorporated into the Police Department’s Policy Manual. Section 13.2 No employee will be held accountable for new or revised rules, directives, policies, and procedures until such time as they have been reviewed and acknowledged. Employees must review and acknowledge the new or revised rules, directives, policies, and procedures within a reasonable period of time after receiving notification. Delays in an employee’s acknowledgement do not exclude that employee from the responsibility of complying with a lawful order of a superior relating to a change in rules, directives, policies, and procedures, regardless of how such order is communicated, once that rule, directive, or policy/procedure is effective. Section 13.3 The employer agrees to provide access for each employee in the bargaining unit to a copy of all existing rules, directives, policies and procedures as they become effective. Section 13.4 Discipline for violations of established rules, directives, policies and procedures will be pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Safety Committee 63.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s. 63.2 The Health and Safety Committee may, by agreement, include additional Workers’ Representatives and Employer Representatives of significant sub- contractors. 63.3 The Health and Safety Committee shall meet at least once every three (3) months and otherwise as often as is necessary to provide an overview of safety on the job, and assist in the promotion of a safe working environment on the job site. 63.4 The Safety Committee shall minute the meetings and determine an action plan for the rectification of unsafe items.
