Xxxx Leave For laid off employees, sick leave accruals shall remain on the books and be reinstated if such employees are reappointed. Whenever a person becomes ineligible for reemployment and such person has not been re-employed, then, if at the point of layoff such person was eligible to receive a sick leave accrual payoff, such person shall be paid for existing sick leave accruals in accordance with Section 1408 of this Agreement.
Xxxx Leave Bank Section 1: A Sick Leave Bank will be established to relieve a Teacher from undue financial burdens as a result of an absence from work due to the Teacher’s illness, injury, or incapacitation sufficiently severe to make the performance of their duties impossible. Sick Leave Bank leave shall not be used for parenting leave. A Teacher member of the Sick Leave Bank who has exhausted his or her personal leave and sick leave days shall be eligible to apply to the committee for an extension of sick leave benefits. Sick bank days shall not be granted beyond the period when a Teacher would or could be eligible to receive benefits of the School Corporation’s long- term disability program. Unused days in the Sick Leave Bank shall be carried forward to the following year.
Xxxxxxxxxxx Leave Classified personnel may be granted two (2) days of Xxxxxxxxxxx Leave with pay in the event of the death of the employee’s spouse, parent, step parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, child, step child, legally adopted child, biological/adoptive parent of child, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, or grandchild. After the two (2) days, the employee will be allowed to use accumulated sick leave, personal leave with pay, or personal leave without pay contingent upon approval of immediate supervisor when it is determined the needs of the school can be met. Classified personnel will be allowed to use accumulated sick leave, personal leave with pay, or personal leave without pay, as approved by the immediate supervisor, in the event of the death of the employee’s xxxxxx parent, xxxxxx child, step brother, aunt, uncle, step sister, current spouse’s step parent, current spouse’s xxxxxx parent, current spouse’s grandparent, sister-in-law, brother-in-law.
Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. Prior approval must be given by the administration with the exception of emergencies. The use of business leave will be allowed immediately preceding or following a school holiday, provided a substitute is available. In no instance shall more than two (2) teachers from Xxxx Xxxxx Middle School, two (2) teachers from College Place High School, and four (4) teachers from Xxxxx Elementary School be allowed business leave on the same day.
Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.
Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.
PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1 Teachers shall be allowed personal leave up to and including five (5) days in any one school year with the loss of substitutes’ pay only, and shall be deducted full salary for days absent for personal reasons in excess of five
Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office. Local Union Business Leave The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to local bargaining unit members for the purpose of attending Union seminars and/or attending to Union business. The cumulative total leave of absence will be determined locally, but shall not exceed forty (40) days per year per hospital. The amount of notice required and the number of employees who may be absent at any one time and from any one area shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.
