National Certification. Any teacher covered by this agreement who is certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards shall be reimbursed up to $2,000 for the costs upon completion of the program. No more than two
National Certification. Speech/language, psychologists, social workers, counselors, motor therapists, nurses, deaf educators and vision specialists who have earned National Certification shall receive a one-time fifteen hundred dollar ($1500) stipend. Educators who have earned National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification shall receive a one-time three thousand dollar ($3000) stipend. When documentation is received by Human Resources, on or before the last working day of the month, the stipend shall be paid the following month.
National Certification. Any unit member who has obtained National Board Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification will receive two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) per each year that the NBPTS certificate remains in good standing.
National Certification. Any certified employee who achieves national certification which has been approved by the Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee shall be eligible for a stipend of $1,000 paid over the term of the contract. Last Modified: 2017
National Certification. Any teacher who receives National Certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (See xxx.xxxxx.xxx) during the life of this Agreement will receive a one-time cash award of $2,500 upon presentation of the applicable certificate to the Superintendent, subject to the following requirements:
6.7.1 The teacher’s intention to achieve this certification must be made known to his Principal at least six months before the requirements are finalized and awarded by the NBPTS, but not later than December 1st of the calendar year before all requirements will be completed, and
6.7.2 The cash award will be payable in two equal installments made (1) before January 30th of the year immediately following the year in which the award is announced and (2) before the next January 30th.

National Certification. The Board and the Association agree that national teacher certification, issued through The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, can be an effective method for improving the skills of our teaching staff and enhancing the profile of our staff within the community. In order to encourage teachers to obtain national certification, the Board will, without additional negotiations, establish procedures and amounts for the reimbursement of tuition and/or costs associated with the acquisition of national certification. In addition, each teacher who obtains national certification will be given a one-time $2,500 salary enhancement in the year the award is earned. Each year afterward that the national certification remains valid, the teacher shall receive $1,000 in salary added to his/her guide salary for that year.
National Certification. A teacher working on his/her National Board Certification shall be granted four (4) professional leave days to work on his/her portfolio. If the teacher fails to send in the portfolio by the deadline, any professional leave days taken will be converted to personal leave days taken, or if no personal leave is available, the teacher will have a deduction in salary equal to the daily rate of pay times the number of professional leave days taken.
National Certification. All teachers who attain the National Certification as a teacher shall receive, for a period of two (2) years, an additional one thousand dollars ($1,000)/annually, payable during the first pay period in December if the teacher is in the employ of the Board at the time the payment is made. Any employee qualifying for this stipend must notify the District Treasurer.
National Certification. If any teacher receives National Board Certification and shows evidence to the Treasurer, the teacher will receive a one-time only stipend of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) within sixty (60) days of official notification to the Treasurer.
