Present Conditions to Continue. 42.01 All rights, benefits, privileges, customs, practices and working conditions which employees now enjoy, receive or possess, shall continue insofar as they are consistent with this Collective Agreement unless modified by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union. 42.02 It is agreed that this Article shall not apply to normal adjustments that may be necessary from time to time to offset increased operating costs. (b) Such statement shall be completed and submitted on the first day of the month in respect of the previous month. A statement submitted by an employee shall be deemed accurate and correct and will not be challenged by the Employer after six (6) months have elapsed from the date the statement is received by the National Office. Employees shall not be required to submit receipts or vouchers unless requested to do so by the Employer, but it shall be the responsibility of each member to obtain receipts for expenses where practicable and to maintain such records as may be reasonably required. (c) Notwithstanding the above, the Employer shall not be required to reimburse incidental expenses in excess of $527.00* during any month for which a claim is made, less $17.00 for any weekend day not worked. The first day out-of-town incidental expenses shall be limited to the amount of the unreceipted expenses actually incurred but shall not exceed $69.00. (d) $69.00 per day worked out of town. (e) $69.00 will only be paid when an employee submits a hotel receipt for overnight stay, or an appropriate explanation is given outlining the accommodation acquired in lieu of hotel accommodation, or if the Director leaves town in the morning and does not return until midnight or later, in which case such information will be contained on the statement of expenses, or when it is necessary to work extended hours in negotiations, conciliation, mediation, or arbitration. (f) An additional $15.00 per day to cover expenses, plus reasonable receipted expenses will be considered, over and above the normal daily expense, to be paid to Directors assigned to a strike or lockout situation provided the major part of the work day is devoted to the strike or lockout.
