ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. An employee who is eligible to receive Illinois Worker's Compensation temporary disability benefits for a period of absence from employment may elect whether to take sick leave benefits or Worker's Compensation benefits during the period of disability. If the employee elects to take paid sick leave during the period of disability, said employee shall turn over to the District the amount of Worker's Compensation benefits received. If the employee elects to take the Worker's Compensation benefits during the period of disability, the said employee shall not have any reduction of accumulated sick leave credit. An employee who has exhausted his or her sick leave shall not receive a salary and shall not be required to turn over to the School District any Worker's Compensation benefits which he or she receives.
ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. If an injury or illness is compensable under worker’s compensation, absence due to that injury or illness shall not be charged against sick leave days. The injured teacher shall continue to receive wages and benefits in full until worker’s compensation payments begin. Any teacher who is injured at the workplace shall file an accident report with the District Office in a timely manner (within 3 working days).
ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. 10 Any absence incurred by an employee which results from an accident or injury incurred 11 while performing duties for School District No. 401 shall not be charged against an 12 employee's sick leave days and the Board shall pay the employee's wages and benefits in 13 full until the employee becomes eligible to apply for Worker's Compensation benefits.
ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. Absence due to injury, accident or illness incurred in the course of the employee's employment shall not be charged against the employee's sick leave days. The Board shall continue the employee's wages and benefits in full until Worker's Compensation payments begin. The Employer shall pay to such employee the difference between his/her contractual salary and all benefits received under the Illinois Worker's Compensation Act for a minimum of thirty (30) days or the employee's number of accrued sick days.
ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. Absence due to injury, accident or illness incurred in the course of the employee's employment shall not be charged against the employee's accumulated sick leave for a period not to exceed twenty (20) days. If the injury forces the employee to be absent from work beyond the twenty (20) day period, an employee shall receive full pay with the receipt of salary paid by workers compensation and by utilizing the employee’s accumulated sick leave to make up the difference. Employees who incur an injury, accident or disease on the job must complete a first injury report within one (1) day after the employee suffers the injury, accident or disease or when feasibly possible, but not to exceed forty-five (45) days.

Absence due to injury or accident incurred in the course of the Teacher’s employment and adjudicated by the Illinois Industrial Commission to be eligible for benefits from District No. 60 under the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act, shall not be charged against the Teacher’s sick leave days. Rather, the Board shall continue the Teacher’s wages and benefits in full until Workers’ Compensation Payments begin, at which time the Board shall commence payments to the Teacher equal to the difference between his/her contractual salary, including the usual Board contributions to benefits, and all benefits received under the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act, for the duration of the Teacher’s disability. Upon the end of such disability, the Teacher shall be returned to a vacant teaching position for which the Teacher is legally qualified.
ACCIDENT OR INJURY LEAVE. Absence due to injury or accident incurred in the employee's employment shall be compensated for in the following manner. The employee may choose between compensation paid under Illinois Workers' Compensation Act or sick leave benefits under this contract. No sick leave days will be deducted for days paid under Workers' Compensation.
