Each will strive to achieve quality long‐term educational goals and programs through the establishment of mutually accepted channels of communication. It is hoped that this joint effort will contribute in significant measure to the advancement of public education in District 281.
Accumulated Paid Time Off. (A.T.O.) Regular full-time employees shall accumulate paid time off at the rate of four (4) hours for each basic workweek completed. Basic workweeks shall be those described in this Subsection and shall also include time off due to jury duty and witness duty as set out in Section 6 (h), and funeral leave as set out in Section 9 (c), provided the employee has actual hours worked in the week. Days off with pay as a result of accumulated paid time off shall, in the week in which they are taken, be considered as hours of that basic workweek. Full-time employees shall accumulate the four (4) hours per week A.T.O. on all weeks of vacation if eligible. When an employee has accumulated eight (8) hours, he or she shall receive a day off with pay scheduled by the Co-operative within the next four (4) weeks, such day to be combined with an employee's regular day off when it does not interfere with the operation of the store. The plus/minus A.T.O. number may be altered by mutual agreement between the employee and the Co-operative A.T.O. accumulation can vary to a maximum of plus or minus twenty (20) hours in employee A.T.O. bank. Employees shall not be required to take an A.T.O. day if they are minus twenty (20) hours of A.T.O. In situations involving pressing personal emergencies (for example, serious illness to an employee's child), the employee may request to use A.T.O., or in the event that the employee does not qualify for A.T.O., they may apply for Take-A-Break leave of absence. The Co- operative will not unreasonably deny such requests.

It is understood where the above causes a junior full-time employee to be reduced to part-time status, this reduction is not a reduction by the Employer. Days off with pay as a result of accumulated paid time off shall, in the week in which they are taken, be considered as hours of that basic workweek. Full-time employees shall accumulate the four (4) hours per week ATO on all weeks of vacation if eligible. When an employee has accumulated eight (8) hours, he or she shall receive a day off with pay scheduled by the Employer within the next four (4) weeks, such day to be combined with an employee's regular day off when it does not interfere with the operation of the store. ATO accumulation can vary to a maximum of plus or minus twenty (20) hours in employee ATO bank. Employees shall not be required to take an ATO day if they are minus twenty (20) hours of ATO The plus/minus ATO number may be altered by mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer. If mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee, the employee agrees to work forty (40) hours per week at the Part-Time rate of pay. this offer to be made to each qualifying employee once only, no changes. This offer shall also be made available to all pre “Extra Foods” employees should they achieve Full-Time status.

  • Unpaid Time Off All accruals must be exhausted prior to taking unpaid time off (unless eligible for EIT access).

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Executive shall earn and accrue paid-time-off covering vacation and sick time benefits at the rate of twenty (20) days per year for employment periods of up to five years of service. The PTO accrual rate shall automatically increase by five (5) additional days for each additional 5 years of service up to maximum of thirty (30) days per year after 10 years of service. For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Accumulated Leave Employees may accumulate vacation leave to a maximum of forty (40) hours over and above the employee's maximum annual earning rate. No additional vacation leave shall be earned until such time as the employee=s accumulated vacation leave drops below the stated maximum. In such event, the accumulation of vacation leave will again commence, but in no event shall it exceed forty (40) hours over and above the employee=s maximum earning rate.

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Applicable Time Off Employees who are granted leave in accordance with this Article shall take time off in the following order:

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Compensatory Time Off i) Regular and non-regular type 2 faculty members may choose, prior to starting an overload, whether to accept financial compensation or compensatory time off as payment for the overload.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.
