Adherence to Time Limits. In accepting appointment, each of the arbitrators shall commit that his or her schedule permits him or her to devote the reasonably necessary time and attention to the arbitration proceedings and to resolving the Agreement Dispute within the time periods set by this Agreement and by the Rules. Any time limits set out in this Article VIII or in the Rules may be modified upon written agreement of the Parties and the arbitrators or by order of the arbitrators for good cause shown. Any failure of the arbitrators to comply with such time limits or to render a final award within the time specified shall not impair the validity of the award or cause the award to be void or voidable, nor shall it be a basis for challenge of the validity or enforceability of the award or of the arbitration proceedings.

Adherence to Time Limits. The Employer and CRONA agree that grievances should be raised, and settlement attempted, promptly. Failure of CRONA or a Nurse to proceed within any time limit set forth in this Section shall constitute a waiver of the claim. Failure of the Employer to act within any time limit set forth herein shall entitle the grievant or CRONA officer to proceed to the next step. If the Employer has not responded within the required time limit, the Employer shall be deemed to have rejected the grievance on the last day of the period for response and the matter may be appealed to the next level. However, any of the time limits set forth in this Section may be extended by mutual written agreement of the Employer and CRONA.
