Alberta Health Care. A probationary employee who has completed ninety (90) calendar days of continuous employment with the City since the last date the employee commenced employment as a probationary employee with the City, or a permanent employee, shall be a member of the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan through the City, unless the employee has coverage by virtue of a spouse's membership in the Plan. The member shall pay fifty percent (50%) of the premium by payroll deduction and the City shall pay fifty percent (50%) of the premium. The specific provisions of the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan shall take precedence over any provision under this section.
Alberta Health Care. The sponsoring organization shall reimburse the City for the employer share of Alberta Health Care premiums. The City shall invoice the sponsoring organization on a quarterly basis in advance of the period covered. The employee shall be responsible for pre-paying the employee share of Alberta Health Care premiums by providing to the City quarterly post-dated cheques.
Alberta Health Care. Fifty percent (50%) of the cost.
Alberta Health Care. When an employee has been employed for one (1) year, the Employer will pay the full premium cost for Alberta Health Care.
Alberta Health Care. Effective November 1st, 1984, the Employer will provide a supplementary health service plan, which includes prescription coverage of eighty (80%) percent through a drug reimbursement plan. All prescription reimbursements will be at the lowest cost alternative where the plan pays the lowest price for interchangeable products with the same active ingredients. If a generic equivalent is not available or if there is a medical reason for prescribing a brand drug as adjudicated by the insurance company, the brand drug will be reimbursed.
Alberta Health Care. INSURANCE PLAN
Alberta Health Care. Effective until September 1, 2022, the School Division will contribute one hundred per cent (100%) of the cost of premiums per month of the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan for all teachers participating in the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan.
Alberta Health Care. Subject to Article 3, the Employer shall share the premium cost of the Group Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan for all participating Employees as follows:
Alberta Health Care. The Company will pay the full cost of Alberta Health Care.
Alberta Health Care. Effective the first day of the month following ratification, the Company will pay the Alberta Health Care Premiums. Such premiums will be payable for all full time employees covered by this agreement, effective the first of the month coincident with or next following the completion of six months’ service. The Company will pay the required premiums in the month in which an employee is laid off, and will resume payments commencing with the premium required for the month following the date of recall from lay-off. The Company will not be responsible for any other premiums required for the period of lay-off.
