Alcohol and Smoking. Where there are restrictions on drinking alcohol or smoking during the Event arising from national law, Event Host regulations, club or local by-laws, or local custom, the TM must make these restrictions clear to the Players before the Event starts. Players must then abide by the published restrictions.

All forms of smoking are prohibited inside any of the buildings at Evergreen Brick Works, including the Kiln Building, and the area within a 9 meter radius surrounding any building entrance or exit. This is a safety requirement for both visitors and the fragile areas of the site. Evergreen Brick Works has imposed restrictions on signage. If required, the Permit Holder must obtain the necessary approvals from Evergreen. Evergreen has over 350 parking spots available. Please note that the photo permit fee does not include the parking fees and these must be paid separately. Evergreen has a No Idling Policy, please ensure all vehicles are turned off after coming to a complete stop and not turned back on until departure. Vehicles may drop clients off in the central parking lot and must then immediately vacate that parking lot in favor of the East or West Lots onsite. Under no circumstances will the vehicles remain in the Central Lot and action on behalf of Evergreen Brick Works will be taken against them if this is occurring including verbal requests and ticketing. Evergreen has a Two-Stream Waste Management System. You will find at your disposition on site two type of bins. The green bin is for food and wet waste and the blue bin is for mixed recyclables (everything that is not food or wet). You are expected to place all garbage in those bins and to not leave any garbage on the floor, tables, etc.

No alcoholic or intoxicating liquor or beverages shall be brought into or consumed within the Venue without the prior written consent of the University’s Representative and then only in accordance with the conditions of that consent. b. Should the Hirer plan a function requiring the dispensing of alcoholic beverages he/she is required to obtain a liquor licence from the relevant authority. Such licence must be produced to the University’s Representative before the function will be permitted. c. Smoking is not permitted in any University building. All signs relating to smoking must be observed by the Hirer.

The board’s decision will be final. Reuse - We have cups, glassware, crockery, and cutlery for all to use. We have refillable soaps, and paper hand towels in the bathroom areas. We discourage our hirers and community from using single use items. Reduce - We encourage the use of sustainable packaging and where possible please use the crockery and cutlery available in our kitchen. If it’s possible, avoid low-quality products, materials, and tools. These rapidly become waste, especially single-use or disposable items and plastics. Recycle - We have a simple bin system in the kitchen only, please ensure you clean your recyclable packaging before you place into the yellow bin, any larger items of rubbish we ask that you take this home with you, smaller items can be placed in our red rubbish bin. Food scraps are not able to be composted on site – we encourage you to take these home with you, where possible. Water - Please check all taps are off overnight, alert management to any concerns of water leaks. We have installed rainwater collection tanks as an alternative for garden maintenance.
