Annual Assigned Training. (a) Annual assigned training, on shift, shall not exceed eighty (80) hours per year, inclusive of online training.
(b) Officers and Officer Development Program candidates, will be assigned up to an additional thirty (30) training hours annually, to a combined maximum of one hundred and ten (110) annual training hours on shift.
(c) Members will be provided reasonable time, while on duty, to complete annual assigned training.
(d) Any assigned training hours in excess of the respective maximums identified in (a) and (b) above, will be subject to overtime compensation at 1.5x.
(e) Successful completion of annual assigned training as set out above, will qualify members, interested in applying for individual career development training consideration, in the following year.
(f) All assigned training will be scheduled and monitored by the Deputy Chief Operations / Training.
Annual Assigned Training. All less than 12-month unit members shall be paid for 8.0 hours to complete annual assigned training to be completed at the unit members discretion outside of their regular paid work hours by the District identified due date. Completion by the District identified due date will be paid in the September payroll.
