- Basic Pay Plan. The Basic Pay Plan consists of the salary ranges and the assignment of classes to such ranges as provided in the appendix. Each employee shall be paid within the range for his/her class.
- Basic Pay Plan. The Basic Pay Plan shall consist of the step progressions and the assignment of classes to such progressions as provided in the appendices B and C. Each employee shall be paid within the progression for his/her class according to the following provisions. An employee’s salary shall not exceed the top of the step progression. Salary adjustments shall be made on the first day of the pay period in which the required accumulation of months of competent service occurs.

A. Step One The first step in each range is the minimum rate and shall normally be the hiring rate for the class. In cases where it is difficult to secure qualified personnel or an unusually qualified person is engaged, the Court Executive Officer may approve appointment at a higher step.
B. Step Two Employees shall advance to the second salary step at the conclusion of their probationary period.
C. Step Three Employees shall advance to the third salary step after the accumulation of twelve months of satisfactory service at the second step.
D. Step Four Employees shall advance to the fourth salary step after the accumulation of twelve months of satisfactory service at the third step.

a) Step One The first step in each range is the minimum rate and shall normally be the hiring rate for the class. In cases where it is difficult to secure qualified personnel or a person of unusual qualifications is engaged, the County Executive, may approve appointment at the second or third or fourth or fifth step. If an employee is hired under the difficult-to-secure- qualified-personnel clause, the County will move those employees within that same class to the same salary step as that being received by the new employees.
b) Step Two The second step shall be paid after the accumulation of six (6) months of competent service at the first step.
c) Step Three The third step shall be paid after the accumulation of twelve (12) months of competent service at the second step.
d) Step Four The fourth step shall be paid after the accumulation of twelve (12) months of competent service at the third step.
e) Step Five The fifth step shall be paid after the accumulation of twelve (12) months of competent service at the fourth step.
- Basic Pay Plan. The Basic Pay Plan consists of the salary ranges and the assignment of classes to such ranges as provided in this Section. Each nurse shall be paid within the range for the nurse's class according to the following provisions.

- Basic Pay Plan. The salary schedule consists of classifications and the assigned salary ranges as provided in the salary ordinance. Each employee shall be paid within the range for his/her class, according to the following provisions, unless otherwise provided in the salary ordinance.

In cases where it is difficult to secure qualified personnel or a person of unusual qualifications is engaged, the Director, with the approval of the County Executive, may approve appointment at the second or third step, and with the approval of the Board of Supervisors at the fourth and fifth step. If an employee is hired under difficult-to- secure-qualified personnel clause, the County will move those employees within that same class to the same salary step as that being received by the new employee.
b) The second step shall be paid after the accumulation of six

- Basic Pay Plan. (a) Steps Advancement from Steps 1 through 6, inclusive shall be after successful accumulation of twelve (12) months of competent service at each Step.
(b) Step "A" The "A" Step in each classification is the minimum rate and shall normally be the hiring rate for the class. An employee hired at Step A shall remain in this step until successful completion of (19) nineteen complete pay periods, for new hires, or (13) thirteen pay periods for internal promotion.
