Basic Wage Rate. The basic straight time hourly rate for each Pay Group is as provided in Schedule A to this Agreement with effect on the dates as provided therein. The Step 1 rate for each pay group is the rate to be paid to probationary employees and temporary employees regularly assigned to a job classification in such pay group. In addition, an employee who is transferred or permanently promoted to a job classification in a higher pay group shall be paid at the Step 1 rate for the first six (6) months provided the Step 1 rate is greater than the rate for his prior job classification. If the Step 1 rate is less than or equal to his rate for his prior job, he shall immediately be placed at the Step 2 rate of the job classification to which he has been permanently transferred or promoted.
Basic Wage Rate. (a) The basic weekly wage rate is the forty (40) hour rate assigned to each regular employee and except for employees who are "plus rated" is determined from the employee's assigned pay group and the applicable Wage Schedule attached hereto and made a part hereof. The basic hourly rate is one-fortieth (1/40th) of the basic weekly rate. (b) The basic hourly rate of a temporary or probationary employee is the minimum hourly rate shown in the applicable Wage Schedule for the employee's assigned pay group.

  • Wage Rates Contractor shall post a copy of the wage rates at the job site and shall pay the adopted prevailing wage rates as a minimum.
