Board of Education Meetings. 3.4.1 The District shall make the agenda and minutes of each meeting, including public and non-confidential support material, of the Board of Education available to the Union at approximately the same time that they are made available to the members of the Board of Education.
3.4.2 Through its representative, the Union shall have the right to speak to any item on the Board meeting agenda, and at any meeting of Board committees and/or District task forces.
3.4.3 The Union shall be guaranteed the right to speak on off-agenda items at all meetings of the Board of Education if it (the Union) so desires.
Board of Education Meetings. A. A place on the agenda of all regular Board of Education meetings shall be granted if requested in writing by the Association President on or before Thursday prior to the meeting.
B. The Association shall receive copies of all Board of Education agendas, minutes, financial reports, and approved policies and procedures. These reports shall be given to the Association at the same time they are given to the Board.
Board of Education Meetings. The Union shall have the right to a position on all regular and special Board of Education meeting’s agenda in accordance with Board of Education policy governing public participation.
Board of Education Meetings. Copies of the published agenda of Board meetings will be furnished to the President of the Avoca Teachers' Association before all Board meetings and a printed copy of the minutes of such meetings will be forwarded to the same officer when available.
Board of Education Meetings. The president of the Association or the president’s designee shall be emailed agendas of all regular and special meetings of the Board of Education at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the Board of Education meeting.
Board of Education Meetings. The president of the Association or the president’s designee shall be given reasonable prior written notice of all regular and special meetings of the Board together with a copy of the agenda or statement of purpose for the meeting.
Board of Education Meetings. Notices prepared for Board Members and newspapers for regular board meetings shall be sent through the school mail to the OAPSE President at the same time they are sent to the Board. A complete agenda for regular and special meetings of the Board shall be provided to the OAPSE President through the school mail prior to the meeting.
Board of Education Meetings. The association president or his/her designee shall be provided with the board agenda prior to every board meeting. The association shall also be provided approved board of education minutes. Posting on the district web site shall fulfill the board minutes delivery requirement. The association shall not be denied an opportunity to express its views at board meetings. The board reserves the right to limit the length and number of such presentations at any given meeting.
Board of Education Meetings. A representative chosen by the Association may attend any and all open meetings of the Board of Education for the purpose of keeping all members informed of school business. The Association may present proposals/comments to the Board by requesting the Superintendent include the Association on the agenda.
Board of Education Meetings. A. The Board shall make a copy of the Board meeting agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting available to the Association President and an Association representative in each building at least one (1) day prior to any meeting by posting such information on the District website or by giving them a hard copy.
B. The Board shall maintain the Board policy manual, as updated, on a website designated by the Superintendent.
C. The Association shall be placed on the agenda of the building teachers’ meeting for brief reports and announcements provided advanced arrangements are made with the principal. Such time shall be at the end of the meeting. Association time shall not be calculated in the meeting time limits as permitted by this Agreement.
D. The Association President shall receive a copy of all policies under consideration for presentation to the Board.
