Bulletining of Positions. 5.2.1 New positions and permanent vacancies will be promptly bulletined for a period of 7 calendar days to the regional local seniority group concerned, and will be awarded first by Local, then by District, then by Region in accordance with Article 5.1.1. Temporary vacancies will be promptly bulletined for a period of 7 calendar days to the local seniority group concerned. If a temporary vacancy becomes a permanent vacancy, it will be re-bulletined. Vacancies shall be bulletined at the salary of the position.

Bulletining of Positions. 15.1 (a) New positions, permanent positions, shall be promptly bulletined for a period of ten calendar days. The bulletining of positions may include, but will not be limited to, electronic bulletin postings.
Bulletining of Positions. Except as herein provided, all vacancies which occur in full-time or part-time positions as listed on the wage classification schedule and new positions subse- quently opened which come within the scope of this Agreement, shall be bulletined for a period of forty-eight hours (Saturdays and Sundays excluded) on bulletin boards accessible to all employees. In the event that an employee’s days off extend beyond the forty-eight hours as specified above, he shall have the right to sub- mit his application for bulletined positions on the first day of his return to work. Bulletins shall show location, title, rate of pay and normal starting and finishing times. Employees desiring such positions shall file their applications with the Personnel Director within the period the position is bulletined. Within two days, the Person- nel Director will select the person for the position and the person’s name shall be posted on the bulletin boards and the same procedure shall apply. Employees may apply for the vacancy created by this latter selection, but the Employer’s choice for the filling of this third vacancy shall not be the subject of a grievance. When more than one vacancy is bulletined at the same time, an employee shall have the right to bid on any or all, stating he be given any of the positions for which he applied, he shall not have the right to file a grievance with respect to other posi- tions for which he applied but was not given. If the employee was not given any of the positions for which he applied, he shall be allowed to file a grievance only with respect to the latest position for which he applied. An employee on vacation when a vacancy occurs shall be considered for the promotion or transfer pro- vided he has submitted the prescribed application form to the Personnel Director prior to his departure. An employee on leave of absence due to illness shall be considered for the promotion or transfer along with other applicants provided that during such absence he advises the Personnel Department by telephone or otherwise that he wishes to be considered for any vacan- cies occurring during his absence.
