Career Tech Educators. Career tech educators in a position that does not require a college degree in education shall have their previous training and experience evaluated by the Superintendent or designee and shall then be placed in a specific experience bracket in the proper class of the salary schedule. Advancement to a higher classification on the salary schedule may be achieved by meeting the yearly credit requirements for licensure required by the State of Ohio and by completion of the following educational requirements: (If the licensure requirements for a career tech program are changed, then the educators in that program will be re-evaluated for placement on the salary schedule.)

Career Tech Educators. Career Tec-Educators (CTE) shall be part of the bargaining unit. The Board and District Administration will determine the types and number of classes a CTE will teach each semester. The number of classes will not interfere with other negotiated benefits under 6.2 Teacher Work Day including, but not limited to, 6.2 H Prep Time, “Senior High teachers will have a prep period equal to the length of a regular class period.” A CTE within the District’s Career and Technical Education program is responsible for (i) the development, promotion, advancement, and supervision of the program, and (ii) developing community and business relationships to further and advance the District’s Career and Technical Education program. The instructional calendar for a CTE position will be based on the CUSD #3 calendar. A CTE may work extra days to perform student related activities (e.g., to facilitate technical clubs, to monitor state/national officers required duties and other related student activities) but will not exceed a total of ten (10) extra days. CTEs may work extra days (subject to prior approval by the employer) and be paid their daily rate. A newly hired CTE will be placed on the compensation schedule based on years of experience in the career trades. B. To amend Article VI of the existing collective bargaining agreement by inserting the following new 6.13

  • Resident Educator Program The four-year program is designed to provide newly licensed Ohio educators quality mentoring and guidance. Successful completion of the residency program is required to advance to a five-year professional educator license.

  • Educator Plans General A) Educator Plans shall be designed to provide Educators with feedback for improvement, professional growth, and leadership; and to ensure Educator effectiveness and overall system accountability. The Plan must be aligned to the standards and indicators and be consistent with district and school goals. B) The Educator Plan shall include, but is not limited to: i) At least one goal related to improvement of practice tied to one or more Performance Standards; ii) At least one goal for the improvement the learning, growth and achievement of the students under the Educator’s responsibility; iii) An outline of actions the Educator must take to attain the goals and benchmarks to assess progress. Actions must include specified professional development and learning activities that the Educator will participate in as a means of obtaining the goals, as well as other support that may be suggested by the Evaluator or provided by the school or district. Examples may include but are not limited to coursework, self-study, action research, curriculum development, study groups with peers, and implementing new programs. C) It is the Educator’s responsibility to attain the goals in the Plan and to participate in any trainings and professional development provided through the state, district, or other providers in accordance with the Educator Plan.

  • Students Payments which a student or business apprentice who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Resident Educator A Resident Educator is a teacher employed under a resident educator license.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3). These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.
