Carry over of Earned Vacation Leave. An employee may carry over five (5) earned vacation days to the following year. In addition to the five (5) days above, an employee may apply to carry over accrued and unused vacation leave to the following year. Granting and scheduling of such vacation carry-over is at the discretion of the Employer, and must be approved by the Employer prior to the 30th of October of the year in which the vacation credits are earned. In an emergency situation, the Employer may waive this time requirement.

Carry over of Earned Vacation Leave. An employee may apply to carry over earned vacation leave to the following year. Granting and scheduling of such vacation carry-over is at the discretion of the Employer, and must be approved by the Employer prior to the 30th of November of the year in which the vacation credits are earned. In an emergency situation, this time requirement may be waived by the Employer. Permanent employees may carry over (5) days of vacation leave, prorated based on contracted work hours, from one calendar year to the next to be used by the end of March. Approval of the carried over days of vacation will follow normal scheduling procedures as determined by the program supervisor, subject to operational requirements.

  • Annual Vacation Leave 33.01 An Employee shall not take vacation leave without prior authorization from the Employer.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Carry Over (a) A regular employee may carry over up to five (5) days vacation leave per year except that such vacation carryover shall not exceed ten (10) days at any time. An employee shall not receive pay in lieu of vacation time, except upon retirement or termination. All vacation time not requested for scheduling or carryover by three (3) months prior to the end of the vacation year will be scheduled by the Employer following consultation with the employee.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • Vacation Earnings for Partial Years (a) (1) During the first partial year of service a new employee will earn vacation at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each month for which he/she earns ten (10) days' pay.

  • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.
