Casual Time Off. C. 1.4.1 Causal employees receive a penalty loading that compensates them, amongst other things, for the lack of paid annual leave. It is accepted that well rested employees are more likely to derive benefit from enhanced quality of work and family balance and reduce the risk and severity of occupational hazards in the workplace. Whilst not setting stipulated minimum or maximum limits, Casual employees are encouraged by the employer to ensure they take regular time off for meaningful holidays. It is recommended that up to four weeks per annum be taken as unpaid time off to facilitate these aims. The timing and length of these breaks should be by the agreement of the employer and employee.
Casual Time Off. It is the understanding of both parties that salaried employees will be allowed a reasonable time off with pay for such appointments as dental, physician, specialist and the like, providing these appointments could not be arranged after the employee's normal working hours.

The Union will reimburse the Board on a monthly basis the salary and the full benefit costs. Any sick leave or vacation leave taken shall be deducted from the Employee’s sick leave or vacation bank, therefore the Union shall not be responsible for reimbursement or payment of sick leave or vacation time. The Employee shall be treated for all purposes, including but not limited to the payment of salary and benefits and the accumulation of seniority, sick leave and vacation as if working at normal assignment. NotwithstandingArticle (a), vacancy created due to a leave of absence for the Local President under this Article will be posted unless the leave of absence exceeds twenty-four (24) months.

  • Personal Time Off Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to executives.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Travel time allowance All employees shall be paid an allowance (See Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance shall also be paid for rostered days off.

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Accrued Salary and Paid Time Off On the Separation Date, the Company will pay you all accrued salary, and all accrued and unused vacation earned through the Separation Date, subject to standard payroll deductions and withholdings. You are entitled to these payments by law.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.
