CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. Certification by employees approved by their Superintendent shall be paid at a rate of $100 per school year for employees who regularly work four or more hours per day and $50 per school year for employees who regularly work less than 4 hours per day. The course of instruction for the certification shall include at least 24 hours of actual classroom instruction unless the Superintendent approves a lesser amount. The course must have been completed within the last three years unless at least five hours of classroom refresher training has been completed within the last three years. Employees are limited to one payment of $100 or one payment of $50 per school year.

CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. 26.4.1 Employees who maintain a current NICET or Backflow certification must submit a copy of their certificate to the District by September 1st of each school year to receive a stipend of $2,000.00. Stipends will be paid annually.
CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. Where required by the district, unit members shall receive an annual $200 stipend for each of the following certifications: Food Service, CDL “A”, Pool, Pesticides, Asbestos, and Lead. Any food service workers receiving the American Food Service Certification stipend as of June 30, 2017, shall be “grandfathered” and will continue to receive such stipend as long as they maintain such certification and continue to be employed in food service. Each stipend is payable in a lump sum in the last paycheck in June.
CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. Certain District assigned responsibilities may require additional certification. Seniority will determine which employee is provided the opportunity to obtain such certification. Time off work to attend required training to obtain certifications/licenses will be provided as “school business.” All associated fees required to obtain certifications and licenses will be paid by the District. CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. A. As an incentive to encourage employees to acquire knowledge in areas related to current or future position(s), the District will provide a monthly stipend of $50 per certification based on certification at a higher level than what is required for the current classification. The stipend is not subject to any cost of living increases and will continue as long as the certification is maintained and not a requirement of the position. The stipend will, however, cease upon promotion or transfer to a higher classification which includes the certification as a requirement. B. Probationary employees are not eligible to receive a certification stipend until the probationary period is satisfactorily completed and the required certification for the current position is obtained. C. Only one (1) distribution certification and one (1) treatment certification at a level above the requirement for the current classification will be approved. Obtaining additional certification will not result in the loss of the stipend. Approved certifications are listed below, however these may be subject to change and the employee shall submit a written request for approval from the Department Manager prior to seeking the certification. CERTIFICATION STIPENDS. For achievement of an Intermediate P.O.S.T. Certification, an employee shall receive a monthly stipend of one hundred dollars ($100.00). In addition, for achievement of an Advanced P.O.S.T. Certification, an employee shall receive a monthly stipend of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Payment of the monthly stipend shall begin within thirty (30) days after the employee has demonstrated that he/she has obtained the certification. These stipends shall not be subject to provision 30.4.
