Certification Stipend. Certification Program Employees are encouraged to develop standards of excellence in school food service through continuing education. The certification program as established by the School Nutrition Association is recognized by the District as a means of achieving excellence. Employees who achieve certification pursuant to School Nutrition Association program at Level I, II, or III will be eligible for additional compensation each year as specified in Appendix A of this Agreement. Verification of certification completion will be made by the District. In the event that an employee fails to become re-certified, the employee will be dropped from the certification program and the added compensation will terminate as of the month in which certification is no longer effective. Payment of the stipend will occur in one lump sum the month after the District is notified the certification has been achieved

Certification Stipend. A. Each employee who holds a Class II Water or Wastewater Ohio EPA Certification, or higher, and completes all the schooling to maintain their certificate and continues to maintain their certification shall receive a $.25 per hour wage adjustment.
Certification Stipend. Each school year and regular part-time employee who shows proof of being certified or earns at least 10 CEUs per school year will be compensated with a $50 stipend. This stipend will be paid the last pay of the fiscal school year. It is the Food Service employee’s responsibility to provide proof of successful completion of the 10 CEUs by May 1 of each year. The Food Service Director will verify certificates and submit to payroll for payment. Managers need to meet certification requirements per state law.
Certification Stipend. The District shall pay an annual stipend to bargaining unit employees who hold the hold the following positions on the first pay period in December. The Fire Chief maintains the authority to determine the number of employees required to maintain these positions and remove an employee for lack of participation or performance, unless it is an elected position as required by state law. Certification Stipend. ‌ Food Service employees who achieve certification pursuant to the School Nutrition Association program at level 1, 2, or 3 will be eligible for an additional $175 per year for Level 1, $275 per year for Level 2 and $375 per year for Level 3 and $475 for Level 4. All first time certification information must be submitted to Human Resources by July 1 for stipend qualification the following school year. All certificate information for stipend renewal qualification must be submitted to Human Resources within 30 days after the expiration date of the previous certification. Stipends will be paid as a lump sum in the month following certification/recertification. Fees for certification shall remain the responsibility of the employee.

Certification Stipend. Covered employees shall assume full responsibility for meeting and maintaining any certification or licensing requirements imposed by state law or regulatory agencies with respect to their employment positions. Thus, each covered employee shall attend such continuing education classes as they may deem necessary and appropriate to meet and maintain their certifications/licenses, on their own time and at their own expense, except that COUNTY shall, subject to Article 36: (1) reimburse covered employee for any applicable license/certification renewal fee(s); and (2) provide each covered employee with additional compensation in the form of an annual certification stipend in the amount of six hundred dollars ($600), which is intended to assist covered employees with their other certification/license-related expenses. Said annual stipend will be paid on or before July 1st of each calendar year. ASSOCIATION understands that the certification stipend is taxable compensation and that COUNTY will withhold taxes from said amount in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Stipend payments will be included in the employee’s normal payroll check and all checks will be direct deposit. (Note: In the event and to the extent that COUNTY directs a covered employee to attend a particular class or training, time spent attending that class or training shall be considered “hours worked.” Time spent traveling to the location of such a class or training shall not be considered “hours worked” unless it occurs during a covered employee’s regular shift or is otherwise required to be treated as hours worked under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).)
