Check Off and Organizational Security. A. OAPSE shall have the sole and exclusive right to have membership dues deducted for employees in the bargaining unit by the Board of Education. The Board authorizes the Treasurer to make payroll deductions for insurance premiums, credit union deposits, political contributions and tax sheltered annuities if requested by members. Deductions will only be made for companies or organizations that have a minimum of one percent (1%) of the district's employees enrolled and for tax sheltered annuities. The company designated may be required to execute a reasonable agreement protecting the district from any liability. However, the Treasurer will not be involved in completing claims, forms, etc. but rather deduct the premiums and send same to the appropriate party.
B. The OAPSE member’s authorization and the Board’s obligation to deduct OAPSE Dues shall terminate within the first full pay period after the OAPSE member or OAPSE chapter treasurer notifies the Board, in writing, of the OAPSE member’s revocation of dues authorization or upon termination of the OAPSE member’s employment.
C. The Board agrees not to honor any membership dues deduction by any employee of the bargaining unit, in favor of any other labor organization unless determined otherwise by a secret ballot election.
D. Individual authorization forms shall be furnished by OAPSE and, when executed, shall be filed by the local Chapter Treasurer with the Board Treasurer.
E. A member shall have the option to have dues deducted any time they wish to join but those requests must first be initiated with the Local Treasurer. All requests for new deductions must be submitted to the Treasurer of the Board by the first (1st) day of each month. The Treasurer of the Board will enter the requested payroll deduction into the computer at the earliest possible date. The amount of annual dues, including local chapter dues, shall be clearly stated upon each member's dues authorization.
F. The Treasurer of the Board shall immediately notify the Local Treasurer if any member revokes his/her dues authorization.
G. All dues collected by the Treasurer of the Board will be forwarded to State OAPSE each month accompanied by a list of dues-paying members.
H. The Local Union will assume full responsibility for its financial obligations to the State OAPSE organization and hold the Board harmless.

Check Off and Organizational Security. Check Off: To the extent permitted by law, POA shall have the sole and exclusive right to have membership dues deducted for employees in the bargaining unit by the District. The District shall pay to POA within thirty (30) days all sums so deducted.

3.02 OAPSE dues, fair share or religious objection contributions will be determined by the authorization form signed by the employee. These forms will be signed upon hire and reviewed annually by the Union before August 15th.

3.05 The treasurer of the Local Union will contact the payroll clerk and meet to gather income information. Payroll cards will not be pulled and copied without a 20 cent (20¢) per piece copy fee.

Check Off and Organizational Security. 6.1 Check Off -- CSEA shall have the sole and exclusive right to have membership dues, initiations, and service fees deducted from employees in the bargaining unit by the District. The District shall, upon appropriate written authorization from any employee, deduct and make appropriate remittance for insurance premiums, credit union payments, savings bonds, charitable donations, or other plans or programs jointly approved by CSEA and the District. The District shall pay to the designated payee within fifteen (15) days of the deduction, all sums so deducted. Any classified employee who has applied for membership shall sign and deliver to the District an authorization for payroll deduction of membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments by CSEA, or in the alternative, pay directly to CSEA the membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments, September through June.
6.2 Service Fee -- Employees in the bargaining unit who are members of CSEA on the effective date of this Agreement must, as a condition of continued employment, retain their membership in CSEA. Employees in the bargaining unit who are not members of CSEA on the effective date of this Agreement and employees who hereafter come into the bargaining unit, shall within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement or their initial hire date, as a condition of continued employment, apply for membership and execute an authorization for dues deduction on a form provided by CSEA, or they may pay directly to CSEA the membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments, September through June.
Check Off and Organizational Security. 5.1 The California School Employees Association (CSEA), Greenfield Chapter #526 shall have the sole and exclusive right to membership dues, initiation and service fees deducted for employees in the bargaining unit.
5.2 CSEA shall annually provide to the District a Dues and Service Fee Schedule.
5.3 The District shall deduct dues in accordance with the Dues and Service Fee Schedule, from the wages of all employees who, after the date of this Agreement become members of CSEA and submit a dues authorization form.
5.4 The District shall not be obligated to put into effect any new or changed deductions until the pay period immediately following such submission by CSEA.
5.5 CSEA agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
5.6 In the event of an election successfully rescinding statutory fair share all sections of Article 5 shall remain in full force until an agreement is reached between the District and CSEA to amend this Article.
5.7 CSEA shall defend, indemnify, and hold the District harmless from any claims, demands, suits, or any other action arising from this Article. CSEA shall have the exclusive right to decide and determine whether any action described above shall be compromised, resisted, defended, tried or appealed.

Revocations of dues authorization shall be in accordance with the employee’s dues authorization agreement.”
