COLLEGE ALLOWANCE. All employees shall be entitled to the Police College Allowance on the same basis as set out in Article 18:11 of the Police Personnel Collective Agreement.

COLLEGE ALLOWANCE. Any employee required to attend the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, Ontario, will be provided with an allowance of one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00) for each trip to and from Aylmer. Any employee required to attend any other work related training facility outside of the City of Ottawa shall be paid a travel allowance of forty-two cents ($0.42) per kilometre each way.
COLLEGE ALLOWANCE. A. The City and the Association agree that the amount and quality of an Employee’s education often determine the value of his contribution to the community, and the degree of proficiency with which he performs his duties. B. In order to provide an incentive to encourage members of the Association to achieve the advantage of higher education, the City agrees that each Employee who receives academic credits for part-time study in any institution of collegiate grade which offers a college curriculum leading to or accreditable toward an undergraduate, Baccalaureate, or Associate degree, relating to their employment, and which is accredited by the Board of Higher Education shall receive a college allowance as hereinafter set forth. C. Each Employee who has received credit for such academic courses, even if said courses were taken and completed while said Employee was not a member of the Margate City Police Department, shall be entitled and be paid a college allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) per year for each academic credit hour so received. This college credit allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) per credit hour received shall be cumulative so that each Employee shall be entitled to receive the college allowance per year for the total credits obtained by said Employee and said credit allowance shall continue so long as the Employee is employed by the City. D. Notwithstanding any of the above provisions, all applications for college allowance must be submitted in advance to the Director of Public Safety for his approval. E. The Director of Public Safety may refuse to pay a college allowance for any credits not required for a degree in Criminology, which in his sole discretion do not relate to the Employee’s employment. F. College credit allowance shall be limited to a total sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each Employee, except in the case where said Employee obtains an Associate Degree, then said credit shall be increased to six hundred fifty dollars ($650.00) and one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for a Bachelors Degree. G. Holiday pay and a college allowance shall be paid in a separate check on the last pay period in November or the first pay period in December. H. Any Employee who is enrolled in an accredited college and is taking a course relating to a degree in Criminology or relating to the Law Enforcement field shall be compensated for his tuition and books upon successful completion of the course. COLLEGE ALLOWANCE. Each employee coming within the Bargaining Unit who is required to attend the Ontario Fire College, shall be provided with an out-of-pocket expense allowance of per week ($75.00effective July 1993) during the such employee is required to attend the College. Divisional seniority shall mean the length of continuous service a particular division. The said division being defined as follows: Fire Fighting Fire Prevention Training Departmental seniority shall mean the length of continuous service from the date of an employee's initial appointment to the department. All job openings and vacancies, except Probationer Fire Fighter, shall be posted within the department. An employee from one division to another may return to his former position within twelve months from the date of his transfer without loss of divisional seniority. Service in the relinquished position shall not be for divisional purpose. An employee transferring from one division to another shall not carry any rank or classification earned in the former division. This college credit allowance of Ten ($10.00) Dollars per credit hour received shall be cumulative, so that each employee shall be entitled to receive the college allowance per year for the total credits obtained by said employee, and said credit allowance shall continue so long as the employee is employed by the employer. The college allowance shall be paid on the last pay in November of each year. In addition to any other credits or payments set forth herein or hereunder, the City will pay to each Fireman, upon the completion of a course, a reimbursement to him for the full cost of tuition and books for each course so completed.

  • Mileage Allowance The state agrees to seek continued funding to provide for the payment of a mileage allowance for the use of privately owned vehicles for official travel at the rate provided in section 112.061(7)(d)1., F.S.

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Auto Allowance The Company shall provide to Executive a car allowance in an amount equal to $1,000 per month during the Employment Period.

  • Meal Allowance A shift worker who works a qualifying shift of eight hours or the rostered shift, whichever is the greater, and who is required to work more than one hour beyond the end of the shift (excluding any break for a meal) shall be paid a meal allowance of $7.95, or, at the option of the employer, be provided with a meal.

  • Vehicle Allowance Vehicle allowances for all distances travelled while on employer business shall be paid to employees required to use their own vehicles in the performance of their duties. This does not include travel to and from work. Vehicle allowance shall be 40¢ per kilometre. Vehicles driven on employer business will be in compliance with ICBC Regulations.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.
