1. a. Effective the first full pay period after October 1, 2019, each employee covered by this agreement shall be entitled to a two (2%) percent across-the-board increase applied to the employee’s current base salary.

2. Chief Resident/Chief Osteopathic Intern Annual Supplement The annual supplement will be $2700 for programs with nine or more Housestaff Officers and $2100 for programs with four to eight Housestaff Officers. The supplement will be prorated as necessary for his/her service as Administrative Chief Resident or Chief Osteopathic Intern. The annual supplement will also apply to Chief Fellows in programs with 9 or more fellows.

COMPENSATION PLAN AND PROGRAM. The following salary increase is for those residents who are employed at University Hospital on the effective date of the increase:
1. There shall be a 3.0% increase to the salaries effective the pay period closest to December 1, 2020 : PGY 1 $ 59,222 PGY 2 $ 63,237 PGY 3 $ 67,108
2. There shall be a 3.0% increase to the salaries effective the pay period closest to September 1, 2021:
3. Chief Resident Annual Supplement will be in the amount of $2300.
4. All incoming Housestaff will be paid a one-time lump sum for attending the Hospital's orientation program including the CIR presentation. The CIR and University Hospital strongly encourage the incoming Housestaff to utilize this money towards the cost of health insurance for the sixty (60) day waiting period. This allowance will be paid in July in the amount of $600 after the Housestaff Officer has completed all necessary university entrance requirements. If legislation is passed that would allow an incoming Housestaff Officer to receive Health Benefits during the first two months of employment with the University Hospital, the hospital will not have to pay the above allowance.
COMPENSATION PLAN AND PROGRAM. A. All salary adjustments shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the appropriations legislation and administered consistent with the rules and regulations adopted by the University in conformity with the appropriate elements of the State's Compensation Plan.
B. Subject to legislative enactment providing appropriation of funds for these specific purposes the following benefits will be provided, during the term of this Agreement, effective at the time stated herein:

2. There shall be no increase to the basic salaries for the duration of the contract.

3. There shall be no additional increases to the basic salaries for the duration of the contract.

C. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2025, the base salaries for Housestaff shall be increased by 4% as follows: PGY 1 $71,061.32 PGY 2 $75,876.79 PGY 3 $80,521.62 PGY 4 $85,223.79 PGY 5 $87,486.77 PGY 6 $89,734.36 PGY 7 $91,028.92 D. In addition to the wage increases set forth in sections A, B and C of this Article, each House Staff Office shall receive annual stipends as follows: ● The amounts of the stipends shall be 1.5% in the first year of the Agreement, 1% in the second year of the Agreement and 1% in the third year of the Agreement. ● The percentages shall be applied to the base salaries in effect during the prior contract year. ● Stipends are one-time bonuses and shall be paid in 26 equal installments, i.e., one in each pay period of the contract year. All legally required deductions shall be made from stipend payments. ● Stipends shall not be added to base salaries.

1 With respect to only Housestaff basic salaries effective July 1, 2022, the following will apply provided CIR ratifies this Agreement on or before June 23, 2023: (1) to be eligible for the July 1, 2022 increase, the Housestaff Officer must be on the University’s payroll in a position represented by CIR on the date of ratification of this Agreement and continue to be on the University’s payroll and in a CIR position on June 30, 2023; and (2) the applicable July 1, 2022 percentage increase (the percentage increase corresponding to the Housestaff Officer’s PGY
2. Chief Resident/Chief Osteopathic Intern Annual Supplement
a. The annual supplement will be $3,400 for programs with nine or more Housestaff Officers and $2,700 for programs with four to eight Housestaff Officers. The supplement will be prorated as necessary for his/her service as Administrative Chief Resident or Chief Osteopathic Intern. The annual supplement will also apply to Chief Fellows in programs with 9 or more fellows.
b. For all Chief Resident appointments commencing on or after July 1, 2021, Program Directors, in their discretion, may appoint two or more Chief Residents to share the equivalent responsibilities of one Chief Resident, in which case, each individual resident appointed to share the equivalent responsibilities of one Chief Resident shall be notified accordingly in writing and will receive a prorated portion of the applicable annual supplement set forth above, equivalent to the individual Chief Resident’s shared portion of the responsibilities of one Chief Resident.
