Entrance Requirements. In all job titles having entrance requirements, such requirements must be met prior to the awarding of the job.

Entrance Requirements. (1) Academic Prerequisite Courses All entering students are expected to meet specific academic and work experience requirements. For example, you are expected to understand financial accounting at the intermediate level. We also expect you to have a basic understanding of management accounting and the use of spreadsheet software. Some students may need to review these materials before arriving on campus. Courses in the Program are designed with the assumption that you know these topics, and therefore remedial courses in these subjects are not part of the Program.

In order for an individual to begin an online course, certificate program, or degree program at InterNACHI University, the individual must join InterNACHI as a member of the trade organization. The start and end dates of the member's academic term is directly related to the date that the individual joined InterNACHI as a member. If an individual joins InterNACHI as a member for one year, the academic calendar starts on the day that the person joins InterNACHI and lasts for one year. In order to complete a course or program after joining InterNACHI, the individual must maintain their continuous membership in InterNACHI. Entrance Requirements. To be considered for the Fire Suppression complement of the Reserve Program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
1. U.S. citizenship.
2. At least 18 years old.
3. Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
4. Be in good physical and mental health, with a reasonable ability to perform the assignments required by the position. (A physical exam, a job related physical agility test and examinations including a written examination, as determined by the City will be administered and must be successfully completed). The written examination given shall be provided by an outside testing agency and shall test one's ability to successfully complete the training requirements and perform the assigned duties. The passing score on the written examination shall be seventy (70%) percent or 70th percentile as designated by the city.
5. Possess a valid Michigan driver's license and a good driving record as determined by the City.
6. Be of good moral character with no history of criminal activity.
7. Be willing to submit to an extensive background check and oral interview as part of the selection process.
8. Be willing to familiarize himself/herself with, and abide by, all department rules and policies, city ordinances and state and federal laws.
9. Must be willing to make a commitment of a minimum of one (1) year to the program, attend all mandatory training sessions and work a minimum number of hours or assignments as determined by the Reserve Officer.
