Compressed Work Week Hours of Work. During the first two weeks and four days, the employee works an additional half-hour (½) per day to make up a total of 7.0 hours. In the fourth week, the employee would have one (1) day off, rotating the day as noted below. Time schedules shall be prepared on an annual basis by the employees and submitted to management for approval no later than January 31st. In the month of February the ONA Allied Management Committee will meet to discuss the schedule. Should there be any area(s) of concern; the employer will work with the union to attempt to resolve. Thereafter, should the Employer determine the program is not reasonably feasible in one or more areas then participation in the program for that specific area(s) will be eliminated, with the rationale provided to the union. The decision is final and binding and there is no recourse to the grievance/arbitration process, provided that the decision is made in good faith and not contrary to law. Management will post the schedule by March 1st. For the rotations in the latter part of 2006, commencing with the September rotation and ending with the November rotation, the union will, each month, 2 weeks in advance of the rotation submit the coverage details to management for approval. If after consideration and discussions, the proposal is not acceptable to management then there will be no EDO for that rotation, with no recourse to the grievance/arbitration process, provided that the decision is made in good faith and not contrary to law. Furthermore, either party, for the balance of the application of this Agreement, can enforce this requirement for future rotations. There is no switching of scheduled EDO days unless it is at the request of the Employer. For Client Services staff, on the 7.5 days, start times will be no earlier than 8:30 a.m. (with finish times no earlier than 4:30 p.m.) as agreed in advance by the employee with his/her manager (or designate). For other staff, on the 7.5 hour days, regular start times will be no earlier than 8:00 a.m. (with finish times no earlier than 4:00 p.m.) as agreed in advance by the employee with his/her manager (or designate). The EDO rotation and days off are suspended for the months of March, July, August and December, and also the last two weeks in June and the first two weeks in September. The day off will only occur on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and will be rotated in the schedule. No EDOs will be scheduled on Mondays or Fridays.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work.   • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.
