Construction Observation and Inspection. Consultant will assign an Inspector to the project for full-time observation for the duration of construction. Consultant shall be primarily responsible for the day-to-day observation of construction activities, including coordination of all construction methods, compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) / Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Best Management Practices, proper implementation of traffic control according to the latest California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and verification that the overall work is completed in conformance with contract documents and applicable standards. Consultant will enforce compliance with contract terms through performance measurements, progress pay assessment, coordination, and progressmeetings. Consultant will also monitor the Contractor’s progress of work and compare the progress of work against the approved baseline schedule. Consultant Inspector shall have required experience to inspect all elements of the project, including civil street improvements, traffic signal improvements, roadway lighting systems, landscaping and irrigation, signing and striping, traffic control, and other elements included in the construction project. A detailed breakdown of the required inspection services is included as Attachment D. Deliverables: Supply all required administration necessary to manage construction management, observation, and inspection.

Assistant Resident Engineer and Construction Inspector shall have required experience to inspect all elements of the project, including civil improvements, traffic signal improvements, roadway lighting systems, landscaping and irrigation, signing and striping, traffic control, and shall provide other elements included in the construction project. Engineer shall provide structural inspection and observations for all the structural improvements (i.e., piling and concrete boardwalk construction).

  • Maintenance and Inspection Consultant shall maintain complete and accurate records with respect to all costs and expenses incurred under this Agreement. All such records shall be clearly identifiable. Consultant shall allow a representative of City during normal business hours to examine, audit, and make transcripts or copies of such records and any other documents created pursuant to this Agreement. Consultant shall allow inspection of all work, data, documents, proceedings, and activities related to the Agreement for a period of three (3) years from the date of final payment under this Agreement.
