Context and Purpose. Ontario Exchange (OEX) matches postsecondary institutions with individuals providing virtual learning and content creation services, such as instructional designers, multimedia/virtual reality developers, learning management software (LMS) integrators, writers and more. As an added feature, this year, we’ve dedicated a portion of our funding to support Recent Graduates for a short-term post-graduate placement. The work done in this placement should relate to the roles and services referred to in the Ontario Exchange Definitions of Virtual Learning Services’ document, see Appendix A. There are two (2) ways to access our recent graduate funding: • Hire a Recent Graduate for an upcoming virtual learning project • Use OEX funding to supplement an existing virtual learning project for which a Recent Graduate is already on staff The Member Institution agrees to one of the payment options outlined below. The maximum amount allocated per Member Institution is $30,000 (CAD), inclusive of all fees and a maximum of one (1) Recent Graduate can be funded per Member Institution. Proof of the Recent Graduate's completed degree or certificate (i.e., diploma or transcript) must be provided upon submission of the MOU. Option 1 (preferred): eCampusOntario will reimburse the Member Institution on a monthly basis following approval of the monthly report (see monthly payment schedule below). The Member Institution will submit monthly reports including, but not limited to: • The name of the Recent Graduate hired • Roles and responsibilities of the Recent Graduate hired • Number of hours they have worked • Tracking of hired Recent Graduate’s work Processing fees for reimbursements, if required by the Member Institution, will be included in the total amount allocated to the Member Institution.

Context and Purpose. Internationalization and multi-polarization of research opens a critical avenue to ’observatories’ that describe the many aspects of global challenges, which need to be address with interdisciplinary teams and a long- term vision. The Mediterranean Observatories are now sufficiently numerous to create a diversified and heterogeneous institutional landscape. These differences need to be respected, and complementarities highlighted. They are both the result of thematic focus and institutional history. In order to meet the demand of giving support to the Observatories in the Mediterranean region, one of the aims of MEDSPRING is to explore and facilitate the creation of « a dialogue/cooperation Platform » of Euro- Mediterranean observatories linking, describing and analyzing the research and innovation potential in the region, to support monitoring policy development and cooperation in areas of mutual interests and needs, with emphasis on the societal challenges addressed by MedSpring “Resource Efficiency”, High Quality Affordable Food”, “Energy” as well as other related challenges and cross-cutting issues.
Context and Purpose. This SLA is being introduced to improve efficiency and effectiveness of publishing processes within ILRI. This will ensure greater clarity on what is expected from both CKM staff and researchers, maintain quality of science outputs and ensure branding, acknowledgements and other collateral are properly applied.
Context and Purpose. 1. The Parties acknowledge that te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi is a foundational document of constitutional importance to Aotearoa New Zealand.
2. The Parties recognise the importance of international trade in enabling and advancing Māori wellbeing, and the challenges that may exist for Māori in accessing the trade and investment opportunities derived from international trade.
3. The purpose of this Chapter is to pursue mutual cooperation to contribute towards Aotearoa New Zealand's efforts to enable and advance Māori economic aspirations and wellbeing.
4. The Parties recognise the importance of cooperation under this Chapter being implemented, in the case of Aotearoa New Zealand, in a manner consistent with te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi and where appropriate informed by te ao Māori, mātauranga Māori, tikanga Māori and kaupapa Māori.
Context and Purpose. The Members acknowledge that the Company will invest in and be the sole owner of several special purpose entities (each a “Company Subsidiary”), each of which will hold a portion of the Property. In connection with such investments, the Company shall separately track financial information related to each of these special purpose entities (and their income and assets) and report this financial information to the Members. This Schedule 7.5 shall be interpreted in accordance with this purpose.
Context and Purpose. Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (CCSC) is a policy project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. The project brings together a consortium of ten organisations throughout Europe. This Partnership Agreement formalises the partnership of the ten budget-holding organisations. The purpose of this Consortium Agreement is to specify with respect to the Project the relationship among the Parties, in particular concerning the organisation of the work between the Parties, the management of the Project and the rights and obligations of the Parties concerning inter alia liability, Access Rights and dispute resolution. Context and Purpose. 1.1 In August 2018, six of the District and Borough Councils, together with the County Council, in Northamptonshire resolved to submit a joint proposal for two new unitary authorities covering the county to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. That proposal was duly submitted.
1.2 One of the proposed unitary authorities, (referred to as ‘West Northamptonshire’), comprises the current administrative areas of Daventry District, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire Councils.
1.3 Subject to Parliamentary approval of such a proposal or variation thereof, a new unitary authority for West Northamptonshire would be established, with a shadow unitary authority as the interim transition body.
1.4 The councils within West Northamptonshire, together with Northamptonshire County Council (“the Councils”) resolved, during February 2019, to form a Joint Committee (“the Joint Committee”) to assist with preparations for such a transition.
1.5 The Councils are local authorities for the purposes of the Local Government Xxx 0000 and the Joint Committee is set up under the provisions of s102 of that Act.
1.6 It is recognised by all Councils that the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has directed under section 15(5) and (6) of the Local Government Xxx 0000 that the Commissioners appointed under this direction exercise the following powers in respect of NCC, (referred to as “the Authority” in the below extract from Annex B to the Direction):
(a) Providing advice and challenge to the Authority in the setting of annual budgets for the Authority;
(b) Scrutiny of all in-year amendments to annual budgets; and
(c) The power to amend budgets where Commissioners consider that those budgets constitute a risk to the Authority’s ability to fulfil its best value duty.
(a) The functions of designating a person as a statutory officer and removing a person from a statutory office;
(b) The functions under section 112 of the Local Government Act 1972 of –
(i) Appointing and determining the terms and conditions of employment of an officer of the Authority, insofar as those functions are exercised for the purpose of appointing a person as an officer of the Authority principally in order for that person to be designated as a statutory officer; and
(ii) Dismissing any person who has been designated as a statutory office from his or her position as an officer of the Authority.
