COVERAGE OF OPEN SHIFTS a. Needs are defined as uncovered shifts on the permanent schedule. Switches are defined as two employees on the same schedule exchanging shifts without the need to use PTO. Coverage is defined as an employee who takes PTO and arranges for another employee to work their shift with the approval of her/his manager. b. An employee who signs up for and works a need during a pay period in which he/she has received or will receive approved PTO has the option to (i) work the need and not take an equivalent amount of PTO; or (ii) work the need and also be paid for all approved PTO. c. The needs list will be posted on the unit and in the staffing/nursing office at the same time the permanent schedule is posted for full and part-time RNs. d. All full-time, part-time and unit based Per Diem RNs interested in working additional hours will sign up on the needs list at this time. e. The needs list will be reviewed by the manager/staffing analyst at least three (3) times per week. Approval regarding the assignment of time will be noted on the needs list by the manager or staffing analyst. Note that preference shall be given to employees signing up for full shifts which do not require the payment of overtime. f. Requests to fill uncovered shifts will be approved in the following order of preference: • Part-time to 40 hours or full-time to 40 hours in a work weekPer Diems up to 40 hours in a work week • Full-time, part-time and Per Diem staff who would be working in excess of forty hours in a work week • Full-time, part-time and Per Diem staff working in excess of forty hours in a work week with bonus • Agency g. Requests for additional shifts to displace agency RNs will be granted provided such requests are made at least 24 hours before the shift is scheduled to commence and the nurse is willing to cover the entire agency RN’s commitment. If a request is made fewer than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift, granting of the requested time shall be within the discretion of the manager. The notification must be received in the Staffing office at least twenty-four hours prior to the start of the shift in order to allow time to cancel an agency nurse. h. All scheduled shifts posted on the final schedule will be considered a commitment subject to the provisions regarding reassignment and cancellation. i.   • Change of Operations Uniforms To: Members of Local Union 295 Dear Brothers and Sisters: As you know, we have a tentative agreement for the UPS Cartage Services, Inc. Supplemental Agreement. Article 2 of the re-negoti- ated CSI Supplement outlines the National Master UPS Agreement (NMA) Articles that may be applied to your Addendum. You will note that several NMA articles are not applicable. These are sub- jects that are either addressed in the CSI Supplement or are not op- erationally applicable to CSI. Where there are two provisions covering the same subject, one in the Local Addendum and one in the National Master UPS Agree- ment, the following provisions of the National Master UPS Agree- ment shall apply:

  • Date of Operation 3.1 This Agreement remains in force until 2/7/2027. The agreement will continue to apply beyond its expiration date until it is replaced in accordance with the FW Act.

  • PERIOD OF OPERATION Subject to certification, this Agreement shall come into force from the first pay period commencing on or after 1st December 2002 and shall remain in force until 31 October 2005.

  • DATE AND PERIOD OF OPERATION 3.1 This Agreement will operate from the date seven (7) days after it is approved by the FWC and shall have a nominal expiry date of 2 July 2027. By no later than 2 July 2026 the Employer intends to commence discussions concerning a replacement enterprise agreement. This Agreement will continue to operate after its nominal expiry date unless it is replaced by another enterprise agreement or terminated in accordance with the Fair Work Act.

  • Commencement of Operations The Partnership shall not begin operations on its Leases unless the Managing General Partner is satisfied that necessary title requirements have been satisfied.

  • Cessation of Operations Any cessation of operations by Borrower or Borrower admits it is otherwise generally unable to pay its debts as such debts become due, provided, however, that any disclosure of the Borrower’s ability to continue as a “going concern” shall not be an admission that the Borrower cannot pay its debts as they become due.

  • SUSPENSION OF OPERATIONS Concessionaire shall, at the direction of Department, immediately suspend, delay or interrupt Concessionaire’s operation of all or any part of the Concession Premises for such period of time as Department may determine to be appropriate to protect the Concession Premises and/or public health, safety, and welfare due to the occurrence of hazardous work conditions, emergency conditions, and/or any other cause including, but not limited to, Concessionaire's failure to perform any of the covenants, agreements, and conditions contained in this Agreement on its part to be performed. Concessionaire hereby waives any claim, and Department shall not be liable to any party claiming through Concessionaire, for damages, payment abatement, or compensation as a result of Department's actions under this Paragraph or this Agreement. Department's suspension of Concessionaire's operations shall be in addition to any other right or remedy available by law or in equity.

  • CONTINUITY OF OPERATION Section 1: No Strikes, Work Stoppages or Lockouts

  • Time Off Between Shifts Failure to provide the minimum number of hours between the commencement of an employee's scheduled shift and the commencement of such employee's next scheduled shift shall result in payment of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for only those hours which reduce the minimum hour period. Where the minimum period is reduced as a result of an approved change of shift(s) requested by the employee(s), such premium payment shall not apply. The minimum number of hours for purposes of this Article shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
