Covers. The Association agrees to cooperate with the Committee by covering for teachers who are absent if a substitute is not available. In cases where a known absence is not filled through the process described in Article 26, A (above), teachers shall be compensated for said cover(s). In cases where a teacher leaves unexpectedly during the course of the day and other substitute coverage is not available, teachers assigned (or available for assignment) to supervisory duties may be re-assigned on a rotating basis free of charge provided, however, that after three (3) such emergency covers, compensation will be provided consistent with this article. Remaining coverage assignments will be rotated among all available teachers and no teacher shall be allowed to refuse a classroom coverage assignment. At the JSHS, covers will be compensated at $25 per period, or any portion thereof, or $15 per period, or any portion thereof during non- teaching assignments. Junior and Senior High School teachers may elect to earn comp time in lieu of financial compensation for covering classes. Comp time shall equal the time spent covering and may only be used when the teacher is not assigned to a class or duty or if the teacher has secured coverage for duties only by a volunteer teacher who is available. At the elementary schools, covers will be compensated at $35 per period (of approximately forty-five (45) minutes), or any portion thereof, or $15 per period, or any portion thereof during non-teaching assignments. When a teacher in a co-taught classroom voluntarily declines a cover for his/her teaching partner, he/she shall not be eligible for coverage compensation. In the event that no cover is provided for an absent teacher in a co-taught classroom, the remaining teacher shall be compensated for each period/block as required by documented IEP services at the rate of $15 per period, or any portion thereof. The Association President and Vice President will not be required to cover classes.

Covers iPads must stay in a protective case AT ALL TIMES, at home or at school. • You MAY opt to use the case provided, or purchase your own. All-‐in-‐one keyboard/case configurations are acceptable, as are “bumper”-‐style cases or magnetic “smart” covers. Flimsy, “rubbery” silicone cases are acceptable, but not recommended. • “Stylizing” or decorating your cases (including ones provided by Prairie) is not only allowed, it is encouraged! Make yours stand out from the others with stickers, added colors, or other school-‐appropriate artwork. Your name/graduation year should be visible somewhere in your design.

Covers. Directory Company shall supply its specifications to Telephone Company so that Telephone Company may develop and design its desired cover for Directories. Telephone Company shall provide Directory Company with covers in digital format in accordance with Directory Company specifications. The Directories will have normal, four-color process outside front and back covers, and one color inside front and back covers. The Telephone Company will pay costs related to producing an outside cover which falls outside the normal four-color process.
