Detective Assignment Pay. An Officer who is assigned to work as a Detective for a period of (1) one or more months shall be paid special duty pay at the rate of $150 per month of such assignment up to a limit of 12 months. Assignment to the Detective position will be rotated annually as needed.

Detective Assignment Pay. Officers assigned to work a regularly scheduled rotation as a Detective will receive an additional five (5%) assignment pay adjustment during the time they serve in this assignment. Assignments and duration of assignments will be according to department policy and are at the discretion of the Chief of Police.

Such certification will remain with the employee when he/she returns to the Patrol Unit. b. Detectives residing within the south shore of the Tahoe Basin shall be eligible to take assigned police vehicles home after work.

  • Acting Assignment Pay 181. Employees assigned by the Appointing Officer or its designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met: a. the assignment shall be in writing; 183. b. the position to which the employee is assigned must be a budgeted position.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment. B. In non-institutional settings, the Agency reserves the right to schedule and approve overtime. In emergency situations overtime may be approved after the fact. Required overtime that can be worked by more than one (1) employee at the work site (that which is not specific to the particular employee’s case load or specialized work assignment) will be offered on a rotating, state seniority basis. If no qualified employee volunteers for the work, or where an emergency exists, then the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site will be assigned on a rotating basis. C. The parties recognize that in both institutional and non-institutional settings, that the Employer has the right to require mandatory overtime where necessary; however, the Employer will not abuse the utilization of mandatory overtime.

  • Overtime Assignments 1. In classifications where employees are eligible for overtime pay, overtime work shall be offered to employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group in continuing rotation on the basis of seniority. Each employee shall be selected in turn according to his/her place on the seniority list by rotation provided, however, the employee whose turn it is to work possesses the qualifications, training and ability to perform the specific work required. 2. An employee requesting to be skipped when it becomes his/her turn to work overtime shall not be rescheduled for overtime work until his/her name is reached again in orderly sequence and an appropriate notation shall be made on the overtime roster. 3. In the event no employee accepts required overtime work, the State shall assign employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group to perform the overtime work by continuing rotation in inverse order of seniority. Employees who are unavailable, including employees who are on vacation, sick leave or other approved leaves of absence, and employees for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship, shall be excused from a required overtime assignment. Employees so excused shall not lose their eligibility for overtime work within the then current rotation. 4. Work in progress, when appropriate, shall be completed by the employee performing the work at the time the determination is made that overtime is required except that an employee for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship shall be excused from the overtime assignment.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

In addition, if (x) the Executive while employed shall make any improvement or develop any know-how, copyrightable work or design, (y) such improvement, know-how, copyrightable work or design is relevant to the business of the Company or any of its subsidiaries, and (z) such improvement, know-how, copyrightable work or design arouse directly out of any work carried out while employed, or out of Confidential Company Information or Confidential Affiliate Information to which the Executive had access while in the employ of the Company, then such improvement, know-how, copyrightable work or design shall belong to the Company whether or not it was disclosed to the Company while employed by the Company. A. In the event that the Executive makes any invention or develops any improvement, know-how, copyrightable design or work which belongs to the Company, the Executive shall fully, freely and immediately communicate the same to the Company and the Executive shall, if and as desired by the Company execute all documents and do all acts and things at the Company's cost which may be necessary or desirable to obtain letters patent or other adequate protection in any part of the world for such invention, improvement, know-how, copyrightable work or design and to vest the same in the Company for the Company's benefit. The Executive hereby irrevocably appoints the Company as the Executive's attorney in the Executive's name and on the Executive's behalf to execute all such deeds and documents and to do all such acts and things as may be necessary to give effect to this Subsection in the event that the Executive fails to comply within seven days with the written directions given by the Company pursuant to this Subsection. B. The Executive has been notified and understands that the provisions of Subsections 6(g) and 6(h) hereof do not apply to any invention that qualifies fully under the provisions of Section 2870 of the California Labor Code, which states as follows: (i) Any provision in an employment agreement which provides that an employee shall assign, or offer to assign, any of his or her rights in an invention to his or her employer shall not apply to an invention that the employee developed entirely on his or her own time without using the employer's equipment, supplies, facilities, or trade secret information except for those inventions that either: (1) Relate at the time of conception or reduction to practice of the invention to the employer's business, or actual or demonstrably anticipated research or development of the employer; or (2) Result from any work performed by the employee for the employer. (ii) To the extent a provision in an employment agreement purports to require an employee to assign an invention otherwise excluded from being required to be assigned under subdivision (a), the provision is against the public policy of this state and is unenforceable.

  • Assignment to Lenders Interconnection Customer may, without the consent of the Transmission Provider or the Interconnected Transmission Owner, assign the Interconnection Service Agreement to any Project Finance Entity(ies), provided that such assignment does not alter or diminish Interconnection Customer’s duties and obligations under this Interconnection Service Agreement. If Interconnection Customer provides the Interconnected Transmission Owner with notice of an assignment to any Project Finance Entity(ies) and identifies such Project Finance Entities as contacts for notice purposes pursuant to Section 21 of this Appendix 2, the Transmission Provider or Interconnected Transmission Owner shall provide notice and reasonable opportunity for such entity(ies) to cure any Breach under this Interconnection Service Agreement in accordance with this Interconnection Service Agreement. Transmission Provider or Interconnected Transmission Owner shall, if requested by such lenders, provide such customary and reasonable documents, including consents to assignment, as may be reasonably requested with respect to the assignment and status of the Interconnection Service Agreement, provided that such documents do not alter or diminish the rights of the Transmission Provider or Interconnected Transmission Owner under this Interconnection Service Agreement, except with respect to providing notice of Breach to a Project Finance Entity. Upon presentation of the Transmission Provider and/or the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s invoice therefor, Interconnection Customer shall pay the Transmission Provider and/or the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s reasonable documented cost of providing such documents and certificates. Any assignment described herein shall not relieve or discharge the Interconnection Customer from any of its obligations hereunder absent the written consent of the Interconnected Transmission Owner and Transmission Provider.
