Workload Assignments. The Xxxx or appropriate Administrator, in consultation with the School Chair/Department Head, will determine equitable workloads for all faculty. In consultation with the respective School Chair/Department Head, the Xxxx or Administrator may assign duties to Faculty Members different from their principal duties during all contracted times except the vacation period. Faculty members whose primary assignment is teaching are responsible for 34 working days of assigned duty. The College agrees that special assignments, including the chairing of committees, shall be converted into workload credits when calculating workloads. Where such assignments result in an overload, the College will provide equivalent release time or overload payment in accordance with Schedule D. This provision shall also cover Faculty Assistants.
Workload Assignments. General
12.1.1 The workload of Chairs is governed by Article 13.
12.1.2 The process of assigning workload to Members must consider the diverse range of programming at the University and the importance of flexibility for the management of a program. It is acknowledged and accepted that a fair application of workload assignment may give rise to nominal differences for Members within and between Academic Units.
12.1.3 The workload assignment of a Member will be determined by the Xxxx in consultation with the Chair and the Member.
12.1.4 The duties and responsibilities for a majority of Tenure-Track, Tenured, and Full- Time Limited-Term Members are an appropriate combination of the following:
12.1.4.1 Instruction: Instruction consists of all faculty work directed towards student learning for which students earn academic credit. Members with an instructional workload component are expected to maintain currency in their area or discipline;
Workload Assignments. The instructional administrator, in consultation with the department chair, shall determine and assign individual workloads. Instructional faculty shall be assigned reasonable and equitable workloads designed to allow the college district to fulfill its instructional mission. Workload assignments will be determined in accordance with the following criteria:
Workload Assignments. 4.1 Assignments shall be made to meet the needs of the District and shall be made considering the following factors: qualifications, satisfactory evaluations (in all aspects of the evaluation) special job related skills, and scheduling needs of the District.
4.1.1 Unit members may teach up to Twenty (20) load units per academic year (excluding summer session).
4.1.2 Unit members may be assigned a combination of teaching and non-teaching academic assignments to a maximum of 67% of a full-time assignment. Example: A unit member has a teaching assignment of 3.0 units (20%) and non-teaching assignment of 336 hours (47%) per semester, which would equate to a maximum assignment of 67%. (Exhibit A)
Workload Assignments. Notwithstanding the above, assignments of combined credit courses where more than one (1) eligible credit course is delivered in a period may be assigned by the Board after taking into account appropriate considerations including the instructional needs of students, compatibility of curriculum expectations and the impact upon the workload of the Teacher who is assigned such courses.
Workload Assignments. 20.04.01 In a normal course of the instructional day, Teacher duties shall meet the expectations of any Acts or Regulations. Such duties may include on-calls and/or supervision in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
20.04.02 Supervision shall be equitably timetabled and performed inside the instructional day. Any scheduling of supervision (excluding bus) outside the instructional day must be with the mutual consent of the teacher affected, OECTA St. Clair Secondary and the Board.
20.04.03 On-calls shall be equitably timetabled and performed inside the instructional day by classroom teachers. On-calls shall only be performed during the teacher’s preparation period.
20.04.04 Full time Guidance, Resource and Cooperative Educational teachers may be assigned half period on-calls by the Principal or designate after consulting a designated OECTA St. Clair Secondary representative. Such assignments shall be made in an equitable manner and shall not exceed the limits as identified in Article 20.05.
20.04.05 Teachers going on or returning from leave shall have a pro-rated workload.
20.04.06 Workload assignments that are not described herein shall be developed with the mutual consent of the teacher affected, the principal, and OECTA to assure compliance with the Collective Agreement, the Education Act and relevant regulations.
Workload Assignments. By May 1st of each year, workload assignments for all sections will be offered by priority to Faculty Association members and the remaining sections will be offered to members of the CUPE bargaining unit in accordance with their CUPE agreement.

Workload Assignments. Expectations and equivalencies for Core Faculty workload are based on the generalized standard of 40 hours per week during an academic year.
