EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES. The Employer shall not restrain an employee from belonging to the Union or taking an active part in Union affairs nor discriminate against an employee because of Union membership or lawful union activity. Union activities shall not interfere with the operations of the employer or the performance of the employee’s duties.

EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES. During the employee's work day, he/she is expected to devote his/her full time in the performance of his/her assigned duties as a City employee. No employee shall engage in any outside employment, enterprise, or remunerated activity without the prior approval of his/her department head or appointing power. At no time shall any such outside employment or activity be conducted on City time. No employee shall engage in any employment, outside activity or enterprise which is inconsistent, incompatible, in conflict with, or interferes with his/her ability to perform the duties, functions or responsibilities of his/her position as a City employee, nor shall he/she engage in any outside activity which will directly or indirectly contribute to the lessening of his/her effectiveness as a City employee. No employee shall engage in any type of activity relating to an employee organization during such time as employee is on duty, except as expressly permitted by the City Manager or designee, State and Federal laws, MOU, or Council resolution.
EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES. 19.1 You agree to refrain from acting or purporting to act on behalf of the Company or any of its related companies in any manner outside the directions given and authority granted to you by the Company. 19.2 You warrant that at the date of signing this Agreement there are no impediments in undertaking the duties set out in this Agreement. If any such impediments arise in the future, you will immediately advise the Company of the full details of any such issues.

EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES. SECTION 3.1 The employees subject to this Agreement shall have the right to form, join, or assist in union activities, engage in lawful concerted activities, present grievances, be represented by a union, and to bargain collectively for wages, compensation, hours of work, safety and health, and other conditions of employment.
EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES. 20.1 No employee shall be dismissed or injured in their employment or have their position altered to their prejudice by reason of or for reasons that (a) their status or activities as an accredited representative of a Union; or (b) their membership of, or participation in the activities of a Union; or (c) their participation in or any proposal to participate in, or their refusal to particfpate participate in or any proposal to refuse to participate in, proceedings to which a Union or a Union member is a party; or (d) their giving evidence in or any proposal to give evidence in, or their refusal to give evidence in or any proposal to refuse to give evidence in, proceedings to which a Union or a Union member ls a party; or (e) their participation in, or any proposal to participate in, any activity of Union where the Union is seeking better industrial conditions.

No employee shall be dismissed or injured in their employment or have their position altered to their prejudice or be subject to any other act to their prejudice by reason of or for reasons that include the reason of: 22.1.1. their status or activities as an accredited representative of the UFU, or 22.1.2. their membership of, or participation in the activities of the UFU, or 22.1.3. their participation in, or any proposal to participate in, proceedings to which the UFU or a UFU member is a party, or 22.1.4. their giving evidence in, or any proposal to give evidence in, proceedings to which the UFU or a UFU member is a party, or 22.1.5. their participation in, or any proposal to participate in, any activity of the UFU where the UFU is seeking better industrial conditions. 22.2. This provision shall apply equally to any employee who has made known their intention to be candidates for election as a representative of the UFU and also to any employee who has, in the past, been a representative of the UFU.
