EMPLOYEE INTRODUCTION TO UNION. Initial Training: The Component President of the Union or designated alternate will be provided time to address new employees during their initial training program in order to cover the following topics: Introductionto Union officers with whom the employee will be coming in contact and to the Collective Agreement; objectives of the Union's constitution; outline of the Union's structure and history; the Rand formula and dues the role of the Union in the application of the Collective Agreement; Government legislation applicable to Union operation; question and answer period. The presentation will be scheduled in advance by the Training department to occur within the training program and with a two (2) hour limitation.

INFORMATION FOR THE UNION The Company shall provide the Component President with the following information: change of address received from employeeson a monthly basis; Monthly list of current requests for base transfer; Copies of bid awards; Copies of vacation awards: Copies of updated System and Base Seniority Lists whenever such updates are completed; Access copies of cabin personnel over-projection and under minimum monthly guarantee on a monthly basis; Access to the monthly record of awards or assignments to open flights; Access a monthly draft list, ARTICLE PARTIAL INVALIDITY Should any Article or any provisions or part of this agreement be void by reason of being contrary to law. the remainder of this agreement shall not be affected thereby.
EMPLOYEE INTRODUCTION TO UNION. On the Employee’s commencing employment, the Employer will introduce the new Employee to the Shop Xxxxxxx. It will be the responsibility of the Union to convey to the new Employee all information concerning benefits of membership in the Union. The appropriate Union representative shall be permitted to meet with a new Employee once, any time prior to completion of probation, for the purpose of explaining the benefits and duties of Union membership. This meeting, which shall not exceed two hours, may take place during working hours at the Employee’s request, at a time to be approved by the Employer.

  • INFORMATION TO EMPLOYEES In the initial correspondence with an individual regarding potential employment in the bargaining unit, the appropriate department shall include a one-page statement about the Union, prepared by the Union at its own expense, provided that the statement is first forwarded to the Executive Director, Human Resources and is not determined to be factually incorrect or inflammatory. If the Executive Director, Human Resources does not forward any suggested changes within two weeks of receiving the statement, the information shall be presumed to be acceptable.

  • Certification Regarding Entire TIPS Agreement for Part 1 and Part 2 Contracts 5 This is a two part solicitation. Part 1 is solicited for TIPS sales that are not considered a "public work" construction project. Part 1 permits the sale of goods and non-construction/non-"public work" services such as maintenance and minor repairs. Part 2 Job Order Contract (JOC) is solicited for projects considered by your TIPS Member Customers to be a "public work" construction project. The determination of whether or not a TIPS sale amounts to a "public work" construction project requiring a Part 2 JOC contract is made by the TIPS Member Customer at the time of each TIPS sale. Thus, Vendors are encouraged to respond to both Parts 1 and 2 in case your TIPS Member Customers require that a sale be made under one Part or the other. However, responding to both Parts is not required. If Vendor responds and is awarded to both Parts, Vendor will have one contract for Part 1 and a separate contract for Part 2.

  • RELEASE OF GENERAL INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC AND MEDIA NASA or Partner may, consistent with Federal law and this Agreement, release general information regarding its own participation in this Agreement as desired. Pursuant to Section 841(d) of the NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2017, Public Law 115-10 (the "NTAA"), NASA is obligated to publicly disclose copies of all agreements conducted pursuant to NASA's 51 U.S.C. §20113(e) authority in a searchable format on the NASA website within 60 days after the agreement is signed by the Parties. The Parties acknowledge that a copy of this Agreement will be disclosed, without redactions, in accordance with the NTAA.

  • Notification to Employees ‌ The Employer will inform new, transferred, promoted, or demoted employees in writing prior to appointment into positions included in the bargaining unit(s) of the Union’s exclusive representation status. Upon appointment to a bargaining unit position, the Employer will furnish the employees with membership materials provided by the Union. The Employer will inform employees in writing if they are subsequently appointed to a position that is not in a bargaining unit.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION TO ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES (a) At the time of hire new employees will be advised that a collective agreement is in effect and of the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off.

  • CONTRACTOR’S RELATION TO THE STATE In the performance of this Agreement the Contractor is in all respects an independent contractor, and is neither an agent nor an employee of the State. Neither the Contractor nor any of its officers, employees, agents or members shall have authority to bind the State or receive any benefits, workers’ compensation or other emoluments provided by the State to its employees.
