Time Off for Union Duties. An Employee will be permitted the necessary time off without loss of pay or benefits to prepare for, travel to, and attend any arbitration process.
Time Off for Union Duties. The Employees selected by the Union to represent it on the negotiating committee will be entitled to attend all Union/Employer negotiating meetings held within working hours without loss of remuneration.
Time Off for Union Duties. 7.06 a) The Company recognizes that employees will require time off to conduct union business beyond the duties of active representation in Article 7.05. At the request of the Executive of a Member Local or the Council, any member may be permitted time off without pay in order to conduct Union business. The request will be in writing, or a verbal request promptly followed by a written letter; whenever possible this request will be seven (7) days in advance. Requests for time off will not be unreasonably made or withheld. Where there are exceptional circumstances, the Company agrees to waive the seven (7) days notice requirement.

(A) When an engineer or any member of the bargaining unit has been elected or appointed by his/her Local Union as a delegate to conventions, conferences, or any other Union sponsored activity, the Contractor agrees to arrange time off for the employee without pay. His/her employment and job status will remain the same. If necessary the Local Union shall provide an excuse in writing for his/her absence and the Union will endeavor to supply a qualified replacement.
Time Off for Union Duties. 25.4.1 Employees of the Company who are officers or designated representatives of the Union may, upon reasonable notice to the employee's immediate supervisor, be allowed to take time off without pay up to and including forty (40) scheduled working days per contract year, provided, however, that no more than ten (10) scheduled working days of time off granted under that section shall run consecutively.

The Union acknowledges that the xxxxxxx has regular duties to perform on behalf of the Institute and that they will not leave such duties without obtaining the permission of their immediate supervisor. This permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Stewards shall not suffer any loss of pay for total time presenting grievances up to but not including arbitration.
Time Off for Union Duties. 9.08 The Local President of Local X3050, or a member of the Union executive designated to act as the designate of the Local President for these purposes, shall be granted leave with pay for one shift every Wednesday, to conduct union business on site. During the period of leave the President, or their designate, shall be entitled to his/her normal rate of pay and all benefits and other provisions of the collective agreement to which an employee is normally entitled and shall continue to accumulate seniority during his/her leave. In order to qualify for such pay and benefits, the Union Local must advise the Employer of the identity of the person acting as the designate at least two weeks in advance.

The Company agrees to take into consideration any extenuating circumstances presented by the employee before determining whether to grant the request.

The two (2) Union representatives outlined in 10.02 will be allowed up to a maximum of one and a half (1.5) hours of work time to prepare for the meeting, if this work is necessary.
