EMPLOYER’S SERVICE INFORMATION. Description of the service Executive overview In order for Eskom Aviation to still fulfil its strategic mandate of providing a reliable Fixed Wing service, it is essential that a contract be established with a pool of service providers in Gauteng to ensure that a high probability exists of securing an aircraft upon request and that a competitive rate is obtained. Employer’s requirements for the service Provision of an enabling contract for ad hoc fixed wing aircraft (King Air 200) charter (wet lease) on an as and when required basis with Eskom Aviation over a 60 (sixty) months period. Invoicing and payment Within one week of receiving a payment certificate from the Service Manager in terms of core clause 51.1, the Contractor provides the Employer with a tax invoice showing the amount due for payment equal to that stated in the Service Manager’s payment certificate. The Contractor shall address the tax invoice to Eskom Holdings Ltd and include on each invoice the following information: Name and address of the Contractor and the Service Manager; The contract number and title; Contractor’s VAT registration number; The Employer’s VAT registration number 4740101508; Description of service provided for each item invoiced based on the Price List; Total amount invoiced excluding VAT, the VAT and the invoiced amount including VAT; (add other as required) Add procedures for invoice submission and payment (e. g. electronic payment instructions) Records of Defined Cost to be kept by the Contractor N/A Insurance provided by the Employer N/A Training workshops and technology transfer N/A Management of work done by Task Order All flights requests will be done by means of requesting a quotation from the Supplier, accepting/declining thereof, authorising request. EMPLOYER’S SERVICE INFORMATION. 1. Description of the service In brief, the contractor shall be responsible for repairs to perimeter fence and security gates at King Shaka International Airport. The objective is to source an experienced and suitable service provider for the supply and installation of the security boundary fence. The nature of the contract is as follows: The scope of service includes: appointment of a service provider who will be responsible for the following: • Supply and installation of new security fence.
i. Dismantle, Supply and instal chain-link security fence 2.5m in height with straining wire (3 strands). Excluding posts.
ii. Dismantle, Supply and instal flat wrap razor wire.
iii. Dismantle, Supply and instal coil razor wire @730mm dia.
iv. Dismantle, Supply and instal single strand barbed wire straining wire.
v. Remove all corroded Debris and discard. Provide safe disposal certificate.
vi. Dismantle, Supply and instal airside security fence panel: 3510 single skin mesh panel that is zincalu protected from corrosion and provide protection certificate. The panels are 2500mm high by 3050mm wide. The aperture is 76.2mm x 12.7mm and the wire diameter is 3.00mm. The panel is fitted with a top spike rail that is then bolted to the panel. There is also a bottom rail that connects the panel to the anti-underdig panel. 40 x 40 x 3mm The underdig panel is 450mm deep and 3050mm wide. The underdigs have the same size aperture as the panel. 76.2mm x 12.7mm. encased in concrete base Foundation: 700mm x 450mm x 450mm (15MPA/19mm stone) and backfill. • Supply and installation of new security gate wheels. • Removal and discard the old and damaged fence/debris. Provide safe disposal certificate. • Supply and install new signage for boundary fence and gates. • Compliance to Occupational health and safety, the maintenance and adherence to of OHS file, uniforms, and PPE. OHS audits shall be done throughout the life of the contract, as mandated by legislation. • A breakdown of the Preliminary & General rate must be attached to the tender submission. • Compliance to OHS regulations to be ensured with the provision of appropriate PPE to staff members. • Service provider to provide necessary PPE for the staff members, any member found not to be using relevant PPE will be removed from site immediately and the non-compliance will be filed against the service provider. • Employees must not be left unsupervised at any time as there is wildlife activity and snakes on site. • Permits: The servic...
