Engineering Services During Construction. During construction F&L will provide construction support services to the City. Construction support services will include: • Prepare response to Requests for Information (RFIs): Review and Respond to up to five RFIs utilizing F&L’s standard RFI response memorandum format. Xx. Page 5 of 6 2nd REVISION - February 6, 2020 • Review Submittals: Review up to 10 shop drawing and submittals to provide written comments on all reviewed submittals utilizing F&L’s standard submittal review letter. We have also assumed that there will be up to four resubmittals. • Site Visits: Perform up to two site visits to review progress. The purpose of the site visits is to review the construction contractor’s general conformance with CDs. Our staff will prepare reports documenting each F&L site visit. • Evaluate and draft responses to up to two contractor’s change order requests. • Prepare record drawings based on contractor provided red lines. F&L assumes that the City will provide construction management, inspection services, and quality assurance testing services.
Engineering Services During Construction. A. If the Consultant's services include the preparation of documents to be used for construction and the Consultant is not retained to make periodic site visits, the Client assumes all responsibility for interpretation of the documents and for construction observation, and the Client waives any claims against the Consultant in any way connected thereto.
B. The Consultant shall have no responsibility for any contractor's means, methods, techniques, equipment choice or usage, sequence, schedule, safety programs, or safety practices, nor shall Consultant have any authority or responsibility to stop or direct the work of any contractor. The Consultant's visits will be for the purpose of endeavoring to provide the Client a greater degree of confidence that the completed work of its contractors will generally conform to the construction documents prepared by the Consultant. Consultant neither guarantees the performance of contractors, nor assumes responsibility for any contractor’s failure to perform its work in accordance with the contract documents.
C. The Consultant and its personnel have no authority to exercise any control over any construction contractor or other entity or their employees in connection with their work or any health or safety precautions. The Client agrees that the General Contractor is solely responsible for jobsite safety, and warrants that this intent shall be made evident in the Client’s agreement with the General Contractor.
D. The Consultant is not responsible for any duties assigned to the design professional in the construction contract that are not expressly provided for in this Agreement. The Client agrees that each contract with any contractor shall state that the contractor shall be solely responsible for job site safety and for its means and methods; that the contractor shall indemnify the Client and the Consultant for all claims and liability arising out of job site accidents; and that the Client and the Consultant shall be made additional insureds under the contractor’s general liability insurance policy.
Engineering Services During Construction. The Scope of Work consists of Engineering Services during construction of the upgrade to Prune Hill Park Wastewater Pump Station. The specific Tasks in the Scope of Work for this Project are described below. The Scopes for Subconsultants are included in this Exhibit A and described in more detail in the Subconsultant attachments.

CH2M HILL will furnish the following engineering support services from the Engineer’s office during construction of the Project generally beginning after the date of the Notice to Proceed and concluding on the date of Final Completion of construction. The office support services are estimated based upon the contract times set forth herein. The office services fee estimate is based on providing the services outlined in Task 2. The amount of time furnished and the cost of performing such services are estimates. The Engineer is not obligated to provide services beyond the amounts summarized in Exhibit B, nor is the City obligated to pay for such services unless such services are mutually agreed to by both parties in an amendment to this task order.
