Exclusive Representative Rights. 1. The rights and privileges of the Northern Xxxxxx Federation of Teachers (NTFT) and its representatives as set forth in this Article shall be granted exclusively to the NTFT as to any other school employee organization.
Exclusive Representative Rights. The Board agrees that it will not accord dues deduction or similar check-off rights to any other organization representing the personnel specified in this agreement while this Association is the legally recognized negotiating unit.
Exclusive Representative Rights. A. The Exclusive Representative shall have the right to use designated bulletin boards, mailboxes, and meeting rooms at reasonable times. The approval of the Superintendent or designee shall be required for the use of school facilities. Approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. B. The Exclusive Representative shall make all requests in writing for use of facilities on District-approved forms. C. Officers and staff of the Exclusive Representative shall have access to employees at times which do not interfere with efficient operation or employee performance as determined by the immediate supervisor, subject to approval of the Superintendent. Prior to contacting the immediate supervisor, any non-employee representative shall check in with the site administrator. D. Nothing in this Agreement shall require, or be interpreted to require, any employee to become or remain a member of the Exclusive Representative, or to pay money to the organization except pursuant to a voluntary written authorization by a member for the payment of dues through payroll deduction. Any member of the Exclusive Representative may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of membership dues, initiation fees, and general assessments for the Exclusive Representative. Upon receipt of such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary check of the employee each month for 10 months or prorate the amount if the employee works less than 10 months. Such authorization shall continue in effect during the term of this Agreement unless revoked in writing by the employee upon 30 days' notice to the District. The District shall promptly remit sums deducted to the Exclusive Representative. E. Upon written authorization of an employee, the District shall make deductions from an employee's salary for any of the following: credit union, annuities, supplemental medical catastrophe insurance, life insurance, and income protection insurance. F. Provided that the Exclusive Representative submits its initial proposal prior to the Board's regular March meeting of the year in which this Agreement expires, the District shall meet in a good faith attempt to negotiate a successor Agreement with the Exclusive Representative. Exclusive Representative Rights. 1. Northern Xxxxxx Federation of Teachers (NTFT) and its representatives shall have the right to use school mailboxes within each school for distribution of mail within that school, a teacher bulletin board(s) which are designated by the School Corporation, and school facilities or buildings shall be available for use after scheduling approval by the building principal. The NTFT’s use of school facilities shall not interfere with school-related activities nor any previously scheduled activity in the school facility. 2. The NTFT shall have the right to use any equipment generally available for faculty use, including computers, typewriters, duplicating equipment, and all types of audiovisual equipment. Consumable supplies for these machines must be provided by the NTFT. The use of such equipment is subject to the scheduling approval of the building principal and its use shall not interfere with instructional use or previously scheduled use of the equipment. 3. Exclusive Representative Rights. The Exclusive Representative does not waive and expressly reserves its right to challenge any and all School District assignments of bargaining unit work under any future circumstance that the Exclusive Representative alleges to violate the CBA or any applicable law. Nothing in this MOU may be deemed to establish an interpretation of the CBA, a precedent, or a practice or to alter any established interpretation, precedent or practice arising out of or relating to the CBA.
