Extended Work Sample Clauses
Extended Work. Where the Employer requests Operators to extend their work:
a. by working an additional piece of work; or,
b. by continuing in service as a result of a missed relief; or
c. due to a change which is greater than fifteen (15) minutes in the start and/or finish time of signed-up work, pursuant to Article 'O' 2.02.3 of this Agreement; and such work extends beyond the scheduled hours of work, they shall be paid an additional two (2) hours minimum. When such extra work finishes within the scheduled hours of their shift, they will not be paid additional compensation.
1) Where changes made pursuant to Subsection ‘O’ 2.02.3 that alter the start and/or finish time of signed-up work, and the change extends an Operator’s work
a. by less than fifteen (15) minutes, the Operator is required to complete the work (despite Section ‘O’ 2.05), and will be paid overtime rates for the actual time worked either prior to or after the Operator’s originally scheduled start or finish time; or
b. by greater than fifteen (15) minutes, the Operator will be paid an additional two (2) hours minimum and any time exceeding the fifteen minutes shall be worked on a voluntary basis.
c. An Operator who is not relieved at the scheduled relief point is required to do the following:
d. notify the Depot Office during Depot Office hours;
e. carry on “in service” to the terminus or to a point as instructed by a Supervisor; and
f. if no relief is affected at either of these points, return the bus to the garage.
g. If the Operator has a legitimate reason for not continuing past the relief point, he or she must advise a Supervisor of the reason and is not required to continue operating. A “legitimate reason” is a reason of a pressing and urgent nature relative to the significance of the service disruption to transit customers in all of the circumstances of the missed relief.
2) Despite Section ‘O’ 2.05, an Operator is required to complete a piece of work or index that has been delayed due to reasons beyond the control of the Employer (e.g., weather conditions, traffic conditions, etc.)
Extended Work a. Unit members who are authorized by an ESS administrator to provide Early Intervention Program evaluation and transition services outside the standard work-year for unit members will be paid at the unit member’s per diem rate.
b. Unit members who are authorized by an ESS administrator to provide evaluation and transition services and participate in IEP meetings outside the standard work-year for unit members will be paid at the unit member’s per diem rate.
Extended Work. (i) Where the Employer requests Operators to extend their work beyond the scheduled hours of work:
(a) by working an additional piece of work; or,
(b) by continuing in service as a result of a missed relief; or
(c) by more than fifteen (15) minutes for the purpose of a bus change on the road or for the purpose of waiting for a late ferry; they shall be paid an additional two (2) hours minimum. When such extra work finishes within the scheduled hours of their shift, they will not be paid additional compensation. Notwithstanding the provisions of Article O 2.05 of the Collective Agreement, Operators shall be required to complete a piece of work or index that has been delayed due to reasons beyond the control of the Employer (e.g. - weather conditions, traffic conditions, etc.) or where such work is the result of a necessary change to a running sheet, paddle or piece of equipment in accordance with Section O 2.02.3 of this Agreement. An Operator who is not relieved at the scheduled relief point will be required to do the following:

(ii) Where changes made pursuant to Article 'O' 2.02.3, Running Sheet - Changes, alter the start time and/or the finish time of signed up work by fifteen (15) minutes or less, the Operator affected will be paid overtime rates fo r the actual time worked either prior to his originally scheduled start time or after his originally scheduled finish time for that work, and Section 'O' 3.04.2(i) will not apply. Where such changes alter the start time and/or finish time of signed up work by more than fifteen (15) minutes aggregate, the Operator affected will be paid pursuant to Section 'O' 3.04.2(i) of this Agreement and any time exceeding the fifteen minutes outlined above shall be worked on a voluntary basis. Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 'O' 2.05 of the Collective Agreement, Operators shall be required to complete a piece of work or index that has been delayed due to reasons beyond the control of the Employer (e.g. - weather conditions, traffic conditions, etc.) or where suc h work is the result of a necessary change to a running sheet, paddle or piece of equipment in accordance with Section 'O' 2.02.3 of this Agreement, subject to the provisions of the previous paragraph. An Operator who is not relieved at the scheduled relief point will be required to do the following:

Extended Work. The customer agrees that the service work requested and performed by NSY is necessary and proper to the preservation of the vessel in a seaworthy condition. NSY reserves the right to suspend work on any of the tasks described in any work order or change orders thereto, when in the judgment of NSY, the amount of work and/or materials necessary to complete the work exceeds NSY’s or the customer’s original assessment of the scope of the work needed to complete the work order to a standard which is normal and customary on vessels similar to the customer’s. In such event, Condition Reports will be completed by NSY, and NSY will meet with the customer to discuss the increased scope of work and materials and to obtain additional authorization based on the Condition Reports, in the form of a change order, to complete the necessary work. Terms of Payment for Yard Work:
Extended Work a. Unit members who are authorized by an ESS SSD administrator to provide special education Early Intervention Program evaluation and transition services outside the standard work-year for unit members will be paid at the unit member’s per diem rate.
b. Unit members who are authorized by an ESS administrator to provide evaluation and transition services and participate in IEP meetings outside the standard work-year for unit members will be paid at the unit member’s per diem rate. For 2014-15, EEA may use funds from the licensed insurance reserves to fund a one-time payment of $200.00 to all members actively employed and in paid status and enrolled for insurance as of December 1, 2014. The one-time payment will be the same for each eligible member, and not prorated for part-time FTE. Members who retire on or by December 1, 2014 and are not rehired to finish the work year are not eligible for the one-time payment. Payment will be distributed on December 31, 2014 through the 4J payroll system. The licensed insurance reserve fund will cover the entire expense of the one-time payment, including all fixed payroll costs such as District-paid PERS, FICA, unemployment, and workers compensation. Funds necessary to cover the total cost of this one-time payment will be transferred from the licensed insurance reserve fund to the District general fund during the 2014-15 school year.

Extended Work. In order to maintain instructional continuity and quality throughout the student school year, and to reduce the inconvenience of arranging for large numbers of substitute teachers, the parties agree to the following modifications in curriculum and related work. District or school-related work which normally could have been scheduled during student instructional days will be scheduled at other times whenever possible. Voluntary District or school-related work (curriculum work, team planning, scheduling and similar projects) will be paid at not less than the current substitute rate (BA + experience). Such days shall be based on a six-hour work day. Required work shall continue to be paid at the prorated per diem rate in accordance with Article 18-B-2.
