UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. Licensee agrees to abide by the policies, procedures, rules and regulations which may be established by the University from time to time to protect the safety, care, cleanliness, and orderly conduct of and in the premises and the Building. Licensee shall also abide by all other policies and procedures formulated by the University from time to time, including without limitation all academic and conduct rules, regulations and codes. Violations may subject Licensee to disciplinary action, which may include expulsion from the University, and/or the refusal by the University to accept future housing applications from Licensee, and/or revocation of this License. The University shall use its best efforts to enforce these regulations, but, in no event, provided it has acted in good faith, shall it be held liable to a licensee, licensee's family, friends, relatives, invitees, visitors, or agents, or guarantor, for any failure to effectuate these regulations.
UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. A. The Student shall conform and comply with all laws and regulations of the District of Columbia and the United States of America.
B. The Student shall abide by the Student Conduct Code, University Residence Hall Regulations and any other regulations adopted and published by any governing bodies recognized by the University within the University Residence Halls; and University regulations governing the use of alcohol, smoking and illegal drugs, guest and hall entry procedures and unauthorized animals; all of which are made a part hereof and specifically incorporated into this License Agreement. C. In the event of a health or safety emergency, the Student shall abide by any policies, rules, or restrictions adopted and published under University authority, including but not limited to, those related to:
i. Restricted or limited access to University Residence Halls; Personal conduct such as requirements related to Social Distancing and the use of masks and other health safety devices while in common areas;
ii. Allowing guests into University Residence Halls; and
iii. Medical testing or contact tracing requirements.
D. Related to the possession and/or consumption of alcohol in the University Residence Halls, the Student agrees that:
i. Alcohol is only allowed in the premises when all residents of that unit are 21 years of age or older;
ii. Alcohol is prohibited in University Residence Hall common areas such as lounges, outdoor areas, hallways, and bathrooms;
iii. Alcoholic beverages may not be delivered to University Residence Halls by mail or personal delivery by commercial businesses or suppliers; and
iv. Quantities of alcoholic beverages permitted to be brought into or stored in any University Residence Hall are limited to reasonable amounts for the number of students assigned to the living unit. Residents are prohibited from possessing, furnishing, consuming, or serving from a large volume or common sources of alcohol, including but not limited to kegs, beer balls, and punch bowls.
UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. A. The Student shall conform and comply with all laws, regulations, and ordinances of the District of Columbia and the United States of America at all times.
B. The Student shall abide by the Student Conduct Code, Residence Hall Regulations, and all other policies of the University, including but not limited to University regulations concerning alcohol, smoking, illegal drugs, firearms, weapons, animals, guests and residence hall entry procedures, all of which are made a part of and specifically incorporated into this License Agreement.
C. The Student shall not violate any rules governing the University Residential Facility or use the Room for any disorderly purpose or in such a manner as to interfere with the rights of other students in their academic pursuits. Violations of published University policies or the rules governing the University Residential Facility, as set forth in the provisions of this License Agreement, may subject the Student to disciplinary action, except as provided for in Section 10C.
D. In accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, which prohibits smoking in enclosed public areas, and to ensure the health and safety of residents, smoking is prohibited in all University Residential Facility rooms, apartments, common areas, and private residential spaces.
E. In the District of Columbia, the possession and/or use of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited. Due to the shared use of University Residential Facilities during the summer, resident students who are 21 years of age or older may not possess, consume, or distribute alcohol (to other individuals who are also 21 years of age or older) in campus housing.
F. In accordance with University policy, the use, possession or storage of any firearms, explosives or other weapons, is expressly prohibited on the American University campus, grounds, facilities, University leased or controlled property, at University-sponsored events, while conducting University business anywhere, or in any vehicle, owned, leased or controlled by the University. UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. Contractor shall follow and comply with all rules and regulations of the University and the reasonable instructions of University personnel.
UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. The University of Leicester Regulations (as they apply to all students of the University) can be found at Senate Regulations. The University of Leicester Medical School Regulations can be found at Leicester Medical School Regulations. All University of Leicester medical students must be familiar with, and at all times carry out their studies subject to, the above regulations.

Members of the community who choose to smoke must do so in areas outdoors at a distance from the building that does not block entrances, transmit smoke into buildings, or cause others to be exposed to second-hand smoke.
E. In the State of Virginia, the possession and/or use of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 years old is prohibited. A resident is held accountable for what occurs in the room(s) and is therefore expected to comply with State laws and University policies in the use and distribution of alcohol.

In accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, which prohibit smoking in public areas, and to ensure the health and safety of residents, smoking is prohibited in all residence hall rooms, apartments, common areas, and private residential spaces. In the District of Columbia, the possession and/or use of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited. Resident students who are 21 years of age or older, and living in a housing unit (defined as a room, suite, or apartment) where all other assigned students are 21 years of age or older, may possess, consume, and distribute alcohol (to other individuals who are also 21 years of age or older) within their living unit. A resident is accountable for what occurs in the room(s) and/or unit(s) and is therefore expected to comply with District laws and university policies in the possession, consumption, and distribution of alcohol. 1. Persons under the age of 21 are prohibited from possessing and/or consuming alcohol.
2. Alcohol is prohibited in housing rooms and/or units where current residents of that unit are not 21 years of age or older.

C. Related to the possession and/or consumption of alcohol in the University Residence Halls:
UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS. Event Host and its participants shall comply with all rules and regulations of the University relating to the use of the facilities including but not limited to the following:
(a) Firearms and animals are NOT permitted in the campus buildings or on campus property.
(b) The use of tobacco (including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, smokeless tobacco and all other tobacco products) by students, faculty, staff, guests, visitors and contractors is prohibited on all properties owned by the University.
(c) All participants in the event shall be required to adhere to all local, state, and federal laws applicable to the maintenance of health, safety, and public order.
(f) Parking in the service or fire lanes is prohibited. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed. Single-day and/or multiple day parking passes are available from the University Security Office.
(g) The University is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
(h) All equipment and electrical connections, installations, assemblies, motors or any electrical operating gear must conform to all federal, state and local electrical and fire codes. Under no circumstances shall anyone other than “house electrician” make electrical connections for high amperage temporary power. Exhibitors cannot use equipment not properly protected by some type of overload circuit-breaking device. The Director of the Physical Plant will have to approve all electrical supply conduits.
(i) Each group is responsible for basic cleaning after their event. We ask that all decorations and props be removed. All linens, dishes, and utensils brought into the Venue need to be removed immediately following the event.
(j) UP staff will do all major cleaning. Any event requiring extra cleaning may result in additional cleaning fees. Anything left behind will be placed in the lost and found located in the University Security Office.
(k) Decorations must be non-obtrusive and not cause physical damage to the facility. Nothing shall be hung on or attached to the ceiling, sprinkler heads or light fixtures. No candles or open flames. Glitter is not permitted. No nails, tacks, staples, or other sharp objects are to be driven into walls, floors, doors, ceilings or tables.
