Procedures and Policies. The Department will work collaboratively with the City to ensure that the City’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) will be in compliance with ADA requirements. The touchstone for compliance with ADA requirements relating to emergency management is Chapter 7 of the Department’s ADA Best Practices Tool Kit for State and Local Government (ADA Tool Kit), which addresses in detail key ADA obligations that apply to all aspects of emergency management, including planning, preparedness, evacuation, shelters, medical and social services, lodging and housing programs, recovery, and rebuilding. The City is committed to compliance with the ADA requirements as described in Chapter 7 of the ADA Tool Kit. Within 60 days of the effective date of this Agreement, the City will revise its EOP so that it conforms with Chapter 7 of the ADA Tool Kit, and the City will provide a copy of its revised EOP (including supporting documents) to the Department. The Department will review the revised EOP to ensure compliance with title II of the ADA and its implementing regulation. If the City contracts with another entity, such as the American Red Cross or another local government, to provide its emergency preparedness plans and emergency response services, the City will ensure that the other entity complies with the following provisions on its behalf. Within three months of the effective date of this Agreement, the City will implement and report to the Department its written procedures that ensure that it regularly solicits and incorporates input from persons with a variety of disabilities and those who serve them regarding all phases of its emergency management plan (preparation, notification, response, and clean up). Within three months of the effective date of this Agreement, the City will implement and report to the Department its written procedures that ensure that its community evacuation plans enable those who have mobility impairments, vision impairments, hearing impairments, cognitive disabilities, mental illness, or other disabilities to safely self-evacuate or be evacuated by others. Some communities are instituting voluntary, confidential registries of persons with disabilities who may need individualized evacuation assistance or notification. Procedures and Policies. (a) Merchant Warrior in providing the Services, may institute, change, amend, direct, remove, delete or edit procedures to better support the provision of the Services at its discretion.
(b) Merchant Warrior may apply, introduce, amend, create or remove any policy in relation to use of the Services at its discretion, but only where such a policy is aimed at improving security, efficiency, or performance in delivery of the Services.
(c) The Settlement Agent must maintain safety and security procedures and safeguards to guard against destruction, loss, alteration or corruption of any information (including Confidential Information and Personal Information) provided to the Settlement Agent or which is generated by the Settlement Agent relating to or concerning the Services, whether during the storage or transmission of such information by whatever means.
(d) Without limiting clause 3(b), the Settlement Agent must, and must ensure that its Personnel and subcontractors and their Personnel, comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and the Security Requirements at all times, and all other reasonable security requirements notified to the Settlement Agent by Merchant Warrior from time to time in writing.
(e) The Settlement Agent must create to Merchant Warrior’s satisfaction, such contractual documents to engage its clients which permit Merchant Warrior to provide the Services, and ensure that each of its clients which seek to use the Services are properly contracted at all times.
Procedures and Policies. (a) The Employer shall:
(1) establish procedures, policies and work environment arrangements to eliminate the risk to employees from violence, and
(2) if elimination of the risk to employees is not possible, establish procedures, policies and work environment arrangements to minimize the risk to employees.
(b) The Employer will inform employees who may be exposed to the risk of violence of the nature and extent of the risk, the procedures, policies and work environment arrangements which have been developed to minimize or effectively control the risk to employees from violence, and the procedures for reporting, investigating and documenting incidents of violence.
Procedures and Policies. 9.1 The Company will provide you with access to all of our relevant standards, procedures and policies. These documents may be varied from time to time as the Company grows. We will advise you of any new or amended policies, guidelines or rules and keep you up to date with the changes. You are required to follow these procedures and policies. These include but are not limited to:
9.1.1 The Company has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Being under the influence of, or the consumption of, intoxicating liquor or drugs on the job is prohibited and any breach of this by you may lead to termination of employment. Failure to submit to a random drug and alcohol test or a positive test result is also in breach of this policy and is grounds for immediate dismissal. Similarly possession of illicit substances (i.e. drugs) on the work project or in the accommodation camp is strictly prohibited.
9.1.2 On some client worksites if you are taking prescription medication, you must inform your manager or supervisor prior to the commencement of work on site. On arrival to site you must inform your supervisor and the nominated paramedic or first aid officer of the details of your prescription medication.
9.1.3 Whilst working for the Company you may be staying in camp accommodation. Permission to stay in camp is a condition of your employment. Should your behaviour breach camp rules your permission to stay in camp will be withdrawn and your employment with the Company may come to an end.
9.1.4 If you resign your employment within 3 months of your commencement date, the Company will deduct the cost of your mobilisation from any monies that you are entitled to receive upon your resignation. Accordingly you authorise the Company to deduct the cost of your mobilisation from your pay, or final pay.
9.1.5 Incidents or activities may occur from time to time on site that require you to make your bags and or any vehicle that you may be in charge of available to be searched. It is a condition of employment that you submit to these searches
9.1.6 Consistent with our obligation to provide a safe and healthy place of work, smoking is not permitted within offices or amenity buildings and Company vehicles. All employees are required to observe the smoking policies of customers when entering their property and to comply with all smoking related legislation, as applicable from time to time.
