High School Work Day. At Oakdale High School a seven period day will be offered to students using the District approved bell schedule. During this time teachers will be in a designated location and will be available to help students. This service can be before school, lunch-time, or after school. 31.1.2 At Oakdale High School a seven period day will be offered to students using the District approved bell schedule. The High School teacher workday will coincide with that of the student instructional day and teacher assigned periods (1-6 or 2-7, etc.) The regular teacher work day at Oakdale High School is three hundred eighty five minutes (385) which includes a forty-five minute duty free lunch, a ten (10) minute break, and six (6) minute passing periods between classes. Hours beyond those of the students’ day will be used to fulfill other professional obligations such as back-to-school night, SST, IEP and 504 meetings. Sites will continue the practice of scheduling the majority of the SST, IEP and 504 meetings during school hours/prep periods when possible. 31.1.3 Teachers will have five (5) periods of student instruction and have one (1) preparation period. The primary purpose of preparation periods is for staff members to prepare for all of their classes every day. A secondary purpose of preparation periods and other time on campus is to provide time for professional obligations and related activities. Teachers may be required to use their prep periods to meet for staff/curriculum development in accordance with the goals and objectives of the District. The maximum number of prep period meetings shall be two (2) a quarter. The site administrator shall give a 36 hour advance notice prior to prep period staff meetings except in the case of emergency situations. 31.1.4 Teachers will be scheduled periods one (1) through six (6) or periods two (2) through seven (7) as determined by student and department needs. High School Work Day. High School teachers (includes all personnel assigned to the school): The teaching day shall be a consecutive 7 hour and 35 minute day, including a 30-minute lunch period. When the master schedule includes a conference period, no teachers shall be assigned more than five class periods or study hall and class-period combination that amounts to more than five pupil contact periods. Each teacher shall be granted one planning and conference period equal in time to one class period. When the master schedule does not include a conference period, no teacher shall be assigned more than six class periods or study hall and class-period combination that amounts to more than six pupil contact periods. Each teacher shall be granted one planning period equal in time to one class period.

Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Compressed Work Week The Company and Union recognize the concept of the compressed work week. It is further understood that the compressed work week conditions will apply only to those departments that are on the compressed work week.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Pregnancy and Maternity Services This plan covers physician services and the services of a licensed midwife for prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care.   • Shiftwork (A) Where the Employee would have received shift loadings had the Employee not been on leave during the relevant period and such loadings would have entitled the Employee to a greater amount than a loading of 17.5% of the payment under clause 23.1(c), then the shift loadings must be added to the payment under clause 23.1(c)(i) instead of the 17.5% loading. (B) Provided further that if the shift allowance would have entitled the Employee to a lesser amount than the loading of 17.5% then such loading of 17.5% shall be used for the purpose of calculating annual leave loading in lieu of the shift allowance.

  • WORK CLOTHING Two sets of cotton drill protective clothing will be issued to all employees, upon request, within two weeks of commencing work with the Company. Employees will be made aware of these entitlements at the time of employment. A set of clothing will consist of either: • Two pairs of overalls; or • Two combination bib and brace; or • Two pairs of long trousers and two long sleeved shirt; or • Work denims at cost no greater than the above three choices • Clothing and footwear will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis.

  • Television Equipment Recycling Program If this Contract is for the purchase or lease of covered television equipment, then Contractor certifies that it is compliance with Subchapter Z, Chapter 361 of the Texas Health and Safety Code related to the Television Equipment Recycling Program.
