Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. (a) Strengthening and capacity building of the Project Implementing Entity, including through: (i) reinforcing its administrative and management skills to set up an overall performance evaluation system; (ii) strengthening its communication and practices for sharing information, knowledge and experience, implementing its communication’s strategy and reinforcing its information technology; (iii) updating and implementing its capacity building program; and
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. 1. Strengthening the capacity of SECBMIH in constructing and operating the facilities under the Project efficiently and safely and expanding its business activities in the area of CBM/CMM development.
2. Strengthening the capacity of Shanxi Province in developing and implementing policies to scale up the CBM/CMM industry in Shanxi Province.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. Provision of technical assistance and resources for: (i) the strengthening of the institutions involved in the urban water sub-sector, (ii) the management of the environmental and social aspects of the Project, but specifically excluding the provision of land (including compensation for land acquisition), cash compensation and other assistance paid in cash for involuntary resettlement; (iii) the building of capacity and the provision of support to the agencies in the MEELCD participating in the implementation of the Project; and (iv) Project management and coordination.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. (a) Provision of technical advisory services and material assistance to support the establishment of the TMU and develop its capacity to plan, design and implement traffic management and safety schemes and road works, facilitate the development and implementation of a traffic management plan and program, and promote better coordination between TMU and the traffic police.
(b) Provision of technical advisory assistance and material assistance to support the creation of a road maintenance management system, including adoption of procedures to develop programs, identification of priorities and preparation of budgets to enable road maintenance to be undertaken in an efficient and targeted manner by MCGM.
(c) Provision of technical advisory assistance and material assistance to update the Comprehensive Transportation Strategy for MMR, including: (i) updating of the database, upgrading of the existing model, and updating of the long-term strategy and medium term transportation plan for Mumbai; and (ii) creation of a planning, programming and budgeting system for transport investments and operations, and formulation of a five-year rolling program for all modes of transport.
(d) Provision of technical advisory assistance and material assistance to strengthen the accident recording, analysis and reporting system of the traffic police, improve its linkage with TMU, and use data provided by the traffic police to develop and implement a multi-year blackspot improvement scheme.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. (a) Strengthening and building institutional capacity at the provincial level, including: (i) provision of technical assistance for Project and contract management, and review of Project design; (ii) carrying out a study on the existing wastewater and water supply tariff system; (iii) developing and piloting strategies to reduce non-revenue water at the township level; and (iv) carrying out training and study tours on various aspects of water supply and wastewater management.
(b) Strengthening the institutional capacity of THWC to manage and implement Project activities through provision of technical assistance and training.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. Construction of a flood warning center to operate the flood warning system referred to in Part A.2 of the Project.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. Support to the Borrower, through the provision of consultants’ services, goods and training, to: (i) put in place a suitable legal framework governing irrigation and water resource management; (ii) formulate a suitable institutional reform program for the irrigation sector; (iii) regularly perform Project monitoring and evaluation activities; and (iv) carry out studies to be used for the preparation of a follow-on project. Part E: Project Management Support Support to PMU and the PIUs, through the provision of consultants’ services, goods and training, to strengthen its Project management capabilities.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. (a) Provision of support to implementation, particularly monitoring and enforcement, of Performance Contract between Recipient and Project Implementing Entity, including establishment of monitoring unit and carrying out of periodic external evaluation of said contract.
(b) Provision of capacity-building support to Project Implementing Entity with regard to financial and operational management.
(c) Provision of capacity-building support to Recipient’s ministry at the time responsible for water and electricity with regard to policy and sectoral strategy formulation.
(d) Establishment of private operator delegated stand-post management program under Project Implementing Entity.
(e) Provision of capacity-building support to Project Implementing Entity with regard to carrying out of public consultation and awareness activities and collection of monitoring data through regular surveys.
(f) Provision of capacity-building support to Project Implementation Unit with regard to Project implementation and financing of Operating Costs.
Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. Strengthening the capacity of MOE, specifically with respect to the School Grants Program, to: (a) develop, analyze and review education policies; (b) establish investment priorities; (c) develop specific rolling plans based on the sector priorities; (d) efficiently allocate resources; and (e) conduct consultative policy dialogues with relevant stakeholders.
