INTENT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. It is the intent and purpose of the Employer and the Association to set forth the agreed provisions covering salaries, hours of work and other working conditions, in order to promote and maintain mutually satisfactory relations between both parties and to achieve the highest level of worker performance and morale consistent with the good and optimum productivity of the Police Force. In furtherance of this purpose, the Employer and the Association both acknowledge and agree to honour and recognize the rights and obligations herein and discharge faithfully the duties and functions attributed to each other.

The parties hereto desire to co-operate in establishing and maintaining proper and suitable conditions for the Employer in the industry, allowing for flexibility and productivity in the workplace, and to provide methods of fair, peaceful and expeditious resolution of workplace adjustments of all disputes which may arise between them, and to xxxxxx good will and friendly relations and better understanding between the parties.

It is the intent and purpose of the Employer and the Union to set forth herein the agreed provisions covering wages and other specific and general working conditions and to promote and maintain satisfactory relations between both parties. In furtherance of this purpose, the Employer and the Union both acknowledge and agree to honor and recognize rights herein and discharge faithfully the duties and functions attributed to each party. Conditions of this Agreement will cover Non-Teaching Support Staff and Daily Paid Employees of the Xxx Xxxxxx Xxxxx Community College.

Nothing in this Agreement affects the Secretary’s authority, or authority delegated to FHWA, to oversee compliance with Federal requirements. These authorities include but are not limited to 23 U.S.C. 114, under which the Secretary has the right to conduct such inspections and take such corrective action as the Secretary determines to be appropriate. This Agreement carries out 23 U.S.C. 106(c)(3), which requires FHWA and the State DOT to enter into an agreement relating to the extent to which the State DOT assumes project responsibilities pursuant to section 106(c). This Agreement also documents certain oversight activities that FHWA and the [State name DOT abbreviation] will use to efficiently and effectively deliver the FAHP.

(a) To establish collective bargaining relations between the Company and the Union and set forth the conditions of employment to be observed by the Company and the Union.
(b) To provide an orderly procedure for the equitable disposition of grievances.

INTENT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. It is the intent and purpose of the parties to this Agreement to maintain harmonious and to settle conditions of employment for the continuous and effective operation of the Civic Depart- ments concerned, to strive to improve the quality and efficiency of service supplied to the public; to promote the well-being, morale, safety, security, and productivity, of all employees within the bargaining unit the parties hereto set forth the following terms and conditions relating to employment, remuneration, settlement of disputes and differences, hours of work, employee benefits and related matters affecting employees covered by this Agreement.
INTENT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. Section 1. The Board and the Association firmly believe that the primary function of the Board and its professional staff is to assure each student attending the Harrisburg schools the highest level of educational opportunities obtainable. The Board recognizes teaching as a profession and believes with the Association that the objectives of an educational program are realized to the highest degree when mutual understanding and cooperation exist between the Board and its professional staff.
Section 2. The Board and the Association acknowledge the Board to be the only legally constituted body responsible for the determination of policies covering all aspects of the Harrisburg School District under and in accordance with pertinent statutory rules and regulations promulgated by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which responsibility to the Board cannot reduce, negotiate or delegate and which is not reduced, negotiated, or delegated hereby.
Section 3. The Board and the Association acknowledge that this Agreement represents the result of collective negotiations between said parties conducted under and in accordance with the provisions of the Public Employee Relations Act of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties for the duration of the life of said Agreement. This Agreement shall not be modified in whole or in part by the parties except by an instrument, in writing, duly executed by both parties. The refusal of either party to negotiate on matters discussed or not discussed at the bargaining for this Agreement or to renegotiate matters covered by this Agreement shall be deemed final and not subject to the grievance procedure.
