Intent of Contract Documents. 1.1. It is the intent of the Contract Documents to describe a functionally complete Project (or portion thereof) to be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents. Any work, materials or equipment that may reasonably be inferred from the Contract Documents as being required to produce the intended result shall be supplied whether or not specifically called for. When words which have a well-known technical or trade meaning are used to describe Work, materials or equipment, such words shall be interpreted in accordance with that meaning. Reference to standard specifications, manuals or codes of any technical society, organization or association or to the Laws or Regulations of any governmental authority having jurisdiction over the Project, whether such reference be specific or by implication, shall mean the latest standard specification, manual, code, Law or Regulation in effect at the time the Work is performed, except as may be otherwise specifically stated herein.
1.2. If before or during the performance of the Work, Design-Build Firm discovers a conflict, error or discrepancy in the Contract Documents, Design-Build Firm immediately shall report same to County’s Representative and County in writing and before proceeding with the Work affected thereby shall obtain a written interpretation or clarification from the Design-Build Firm’s Architect or Engineer. If required, a Field Directive Change Order or Change Order will be issued pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. If the Design-Build Firm performs any Construction activity knowing it involves a recognized error, inconsistency or omission in the Contract Documents without such notice to the Design-Build Firm’s Architect or Engineer and County, the Design-Build Firm shall assume responsibility for such performance and shall share in costs associated with any corrections. Design-Build Firm shall take field measurements and verify field conditions and shall carefully compare such field measurements and conditions and other information known to Design-Build Firm with the Contract Documents before commencing any portion of the Work.

Intent of Contract Documents. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Design/Builder. The Contract Documents are complementary and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all; performance by the Design/Builder shall be required only to the extent consistent with the Contract Documents and reasonably inferable from them as being necessary to produce the intended results.

Execution of the Contract by the Contractor is a representation that the Contractor has become familiar with the Contract Documents and field conditions under which the Work is to be performed within the requirements of Work specified by the Contract Documents. Intent of Contract Documents a. The intent of the Contract Documents is to describe the Work that the Design-Builder will undertake to fulfill the requirements of the Contract. The Design-Builder must perform all Work as provided in the Contract Documents as required and necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Design-Builder must furnish all required materials, equipment, tools, labor, temporary light and power, shop drawings, installation drawings, working drawings, and incidentals, unless otherwise provided in the Contract, and will include the cost of all such items in the Contract Base Bid, unit prices or any lump sum item. The Base Bid includes all costs relating to, or associated with, the foregoing including, but not limited to, all direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, and profit.
b. Wherever the imperative form of address is used, such as "perform the excavating," "provide equipment required,""remove obstructions encountered," "furnish and install reinforcing steel bars," it is understood and agreed that such imperative is directed to the Design-Builder.
Intent of Contract Documents. A. It is the intent of the Contract Documents to describe a functionally complete project. The Contract Documents do not indicate or describe all of the Work required to complete the Project. Additional details required for the correct installation of selected products are to be provided by the Contractor and coordinated with the Owner and Engineer. This Contract supersedes prior negotiations, representations, and agreements, whether written or oral. The Contract Documents are complementary; what is required by one part of the Contract Documents is as binding as if required by other parts of the Contract Documents.
B. During the performance of the Work and until final payment, Contractor and Owner shall submit all matters in question concerning the requirements of the Contract Documents, or relating to the acceptability of the Work under the Contract Documents to the Engineer. Engineer will be the initial interpreter of the requirements of the Contract Documents, and judge of the acceptability of the Work thereunder.
C. Engineer will render a written clarification, interpretation, or decision on the issue submitted, or initiate a modification to the Contract Documents.
D. Contractor, and its subcontractors and suppliers, shall not have or acquire any title to or ownership rights to any of the Drawings, Specifications, or other documents (including copies or electronic media editions) prepared by Engineer or its consultants.
Intent of Contract Documents a. The intent of this Agreement is to include in the contract price the cost of all labor and materials, water, fuel, tools, plants, equipment, light, transportation, and any other expenses that may be necessary for the proper execution and completion of the work included in the Agreement.
b. In interpreting the Agreement, words describing materials that have a well-known technical or trade meaning shall be construed in accordance with such well known meanings unless otherwise specifically defined

It is the intent of the Parties that Contractor provide the Equipment and perform the Services and all of its other obligations under this Agreement for the Contract Price, which shall not be increased, except in accordance with Article 8 or as otherwise expressly set forth herein.
