Job Displacement Training. Job displacement training opportunities will be offered to prepare employees whose jobs are being displaced, or whose jobs are being restructured or redefined to a wage schedule with a lower maximum wage rate, to enhance their ability to qualify for anticipated job vacancies within the Company or for job opportunities external to the Company.

Job Displacement Training. Job displacement training programs will be designed to prepare employees whose jobs are being displaced or whose jobs are being restructured to a wage schedule with a lower maximum wage rate to enhance their ability to qualify for anticipated job vacancies within the Company. Employees will be informed of potential displacements as soon as possible and depending on the number of any anticipated job openings, will be offered training, if necessary which is intended to enable them to qualify for such job openings in the Company. All regular employees who are notified of potential displace­ment of their current jobs or restructuring to a lower rate will be eligible to participate in such training program regardless of length of seniority. Participation by employees in the job displacement training program will be offered to all employees, and any time spent by employees in such training will be during scheduled working hours and considered as time worked.

Related to Job Displacement Training

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • Displacement (a) An Employee whose position is eliminated by the Employer or who is displaced in accordance with this Article shall, provided the Employee has not less than 24 months of seniority:

  • Training Assistance (a) Employees shall be reimbursed for one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition for job-related courses approved by the Employer.

  • Cross Training (a) The parties recognize the importance of cross training to ensure that employees are properly trained for backup and for promotions. When the Employer identifies a cross training opportunity the Employer shall provide each regular employee written notification of the cross training opportunity in following with 6.02(a). The Employer undertakes to cross train employees on the basis of seniority and the ability to do the job within a reasonable period of time.

  • Union Training Should the xxxxxxx and his union decide that the xxxxxxx needs training to properly carry out his new duties, the xxxxxxx may take leave without pay from his work to attend any relevant courses. The duration of the leave shall be negotiated by the parties, taking into account the particularities of the industry. The xxxxxxx shall obtain the employer’s prior authorization and such authorization shall never be refused without just cause.
