JOINT SKILLED TRADES COMMITTEE. There shall be a committee established called the Joint Skilled Trades Committee consisting of three employee representatives, one being a tradesperson from the Smelter Business Unit and two tradespersons from the Mines/Mill Business Unit who shall meet each quarter, and at other times by mutual agreement, with three Company representatives. A management representative shall be designated as the chairperson of this committee. The mandate of the Committee will be to provide employees and the Union with an avenue to give constructive input on trades training, apprenticeships, standards and such other issues which may arise from time to time. Time off for the three Union members to attend such meetings shall be without loss in pay and shall be considered as time worked for the purposes of the Collective Agreement. The Company will pay to those members of the Union's committee a travel allowance based on Company policy when the members are required to travel from their place of work to attend meetings of the Committee.

JOINT SKILLED TRADES COMMITTEE. The Company and the Union confirm that the document entitled “Operational Guidelines of the Joint Skilled Trades Meeting”, dated November 20, 2003, will be adopted. The Company agrees to continue its reliance on that document and further agrees to participate in quarterly meetings as set out in that document. If there are pressing trades’ issues that the Union wishes to address between quarterly meetings, those matters may be raised at the monthly Union-Management meetings.   • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:

  • Joint Steering Committee [***] following the Effective Date [***], a joint steering committee (the “JSC”) will be established by the Parties to provide oversight and to facilitate information sharing between the Parties with respect to the activities under this Agreement.

  • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 1. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • Joint Job Evaluation Committee The parties entered into agreement December 17, 1992, to ensure the Joint Gender- Neutral Job Evaluation Plan remains current and operational and to that end endorsed the Joint Gender-Neutral Job Evaluation Maintenance Agreement. The parties agree that a guiding principle for the Committee is that there shall be no discrimination between male and female employees wherein a person of one sex is paid more than a person of the other sex for similar or substantially similar work.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • Joint Consultative Committee 46.1 The parties recognise the need for effective communication to improve the business/operational performance and working environment in agencies.

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.

  • Joint Union/Management Committee It shall be appropriate for either the Union or the University to request that a Joint Union/Management committee be convened, with Environmental Health and Safety as a participating member, to discuss health and safety concerns and to explore options for addressing those concerns through appropriate training or other approaches.
