Special Vacation. The Company will provide weeks of special vacation with pay for employees who have completed five or more years of continuous service and an additional weeks of special vacation with pay upon completing each additional five year period of continuous service on the basis of the following provisions which shall apply during the life of this Agreement:

Special Vacation. The Company will provide 5 weeks of Special Vacation with pay for employees who complete five or more years of credited service and an additional five weeks of Special Vacation with pay upon completing each additional five-year period of credited service. An employee’s anniversary date shall be deemed to be January 1st of the year of his entitlement.
Special Vacation. During the week preceding Easter, special vacation shall be granted to all Bargaining Unit employees in accordance with the following provisions:
Special Vacation. 18.01 Effective January 1, 1979, employees who did not previously qualify for Special Vacation, with five (5) years or more of service will be entitled to a Special Vacation of three (3) weeks in addition to their normal vacation entitlement to be taken within the five (5) year period ending December 31, 1983. During each subsequent five (5) year qualifying period these employees shall become eligible for a further three (3) weeks of Special Vacation. Employees who completed their five (5) years of service after January 1, 1979, shall be eligible for this program during the five (5) year period commencing with the January 1st following the year in which they complete five (5) years’ service and during each subsequent five (5) year qualifying period they shall become eligible for a further three (3) weeks of Special Vacation. Employees who had attained fifteen (15) years’ service prior to Janu- ary 1, 1978, will continue to earn a Special Vacation of three (3) weeks in each five (5) year qualifying period commencing with the Janu- ary 1st of the year in which they first qualified for Special Vacation.

Such vacations so far as possible will be granted at times most desirable to employees but the final right to allotment of the vacation period is exclusively reserved to the Com- pany in order to ensure the orderly operation of the plant. It is agreed that any employee entitled to the Special Vacation may elect to work up to three weeks of this Special Vacation.
Special Vacation. The employee’s special anniversary date will be delayed by the number of days lost due to sickness or injury in excess of three hundred and sixty-five (365) days. Employees who are expected to be off work for extended periods and be affected by these provisions will be allowed to carry over accumulated regular and special vacation from year to year. Effective April 8, 1994 an employee who has been off work for twelve (12) months or more will be required to retire provided he/she qualifies for an unreduced pension unless his/her physician, in consultation with a Company designated physician, determines that the employee should be able to return to work within a twelve (12) month period.
Special Vacation. 1. For each calendar month in which an employee receives a pay deduction as described in Paragraph A, such employee will receive .0201 of an hour of special vacation for each qualifying hour (as defined below) earned during the calendar month.

Special Vacation. 10.06 (a) Employees with greater than five (5) years service shall be entitled to a Special Vacation Program consisting of fifteen (15) working days in addition to his/her regular vacation entitlement. During each subsequent five (5) year qualifying period, those employees shall be entitled to a further fifteen (15) working days of Special Vacation. Special Vacation shall be taken at times which are suitable to both the City and the employee and must be taken within the subsequent five (5) year qualifying period. The allocation of regular vacations shall have priority over the allocation of special vacations.
